Arrived late night and room assigned was twin bed instead. Requested for double but since no room available, the night manager upgraded my room which was more than I asked for. Love the room, so spacious. Staff was super helpful and always ensure that I follow the SOP such as body temperature check and sanitize my hand upon entering the hotel.

The only thing that I don't enjoy is the TV. Hope they can ensure that all the TV Channel are clear.

Anyway... keep up the good work guys.

Just seeing the hotel building from afar, you can tell it's very old. The rooms also appear to be outdated and smell of cigarettes and the carpeting seems unclean. Set-up of the room is ok and so are the utilities inside. The location was very good as it is in the heart of Bukit Bintang. It is a short walking distance to everything such as the mall (Berjaya Times Square), lots of restaurants nearby, food street night market (Jalan Alor) is also a 5 minute walk away. We had their buffet breakfast which had a lot of variety and was delicious. The staff, including the guards, were very polite and always willing to help. They don't have a pool but guests here may have access to the pool at The Federal Hotel, which is about a 3 minute walk away. This place wouldn't be my first choice if I were to return to Kuala Lumpur, but I wouldn't mind staying here if I had to again.

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel.

Cons: old hotel, furniture needs refurbishment, we all know it

Pros:
Excellent service, booked 2 twin rooms as Agoda system did not allow me to choose different room categories.

At check in, Mr Thomas, at the reception, told me that he will give me a Queen and a Twin room, without even me asking for it. He also provided me high floor room with great view. Mr Thomas told me that he can’t give me connecting rooms due to different room configuration, am I ok with this? This is called service.

He told me to park my car and come back, formalities will be completed by then.
Mr Kassim explained to me where to park my car and validated my parking coupon.

We had good sized room, clean bed sheets, enough towels, some toiletries, tea-coffees with kettle, iron with ironing board.

Location is the best, with all Bukit Bintang malls LRT/MRT easily accessible. All this for SGD51.
Yes, they should renovate the rooms, it’s overdue, but the price will definitely go up.

Oh security guys were really helpful, help my family not only come up in the lift, but also open room door as they were not carrying room keys.
Breakfast: did not try, so can’t comment.

Next KL trip, will definitely stay here.
Thanks to Mr Thomas, Mr Kassim and and the security officers.

Capitol seems like a ok place but I don’t think it’s worth the money, maybe if it was half the price it would be ok. I would pick another hotel next time if i’m in town.
The thing that cofused me right at check in was the lobby staff member to ask me of a tourist fee, which was 30myr for 3 nights. No receipt was given. Room was quite dirty and I could see a lot of hair on the floor and one contact lens in the bathroom.
At least on the upper floors you get a nice view of the Petronas twin towers and KL tower.

This is our 4th time staying at Hotel Capitol.

The location is absolutely perfect, right next to Low Yat Plaza and Sungei Wang Plaza, and just around the corner from the Bukit Bintant monorail staion.

The room was superb, so clean and it had everything we needed. The staff were magnificent, nothing was too much trouble.

We highly recommend this hotel, this is our home away from home when staying in Kuala Lumpur.

The hotel is in an excellent position in Bukit Bintang, very central, walking distance from Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang St, shopping malls and monorail/MRT stations. Parking in building next door, useful.
Depending on the side of your room, good city views but it can be a little noisy.

You can tell that the hotel is already many years old. Wooden decoration that looks old and the same in the room. Dirty windows..
For the same or less money you will have good establishments in the same area. Or even much more luxurious apartments in airbnb for less.
Good breakfast and very central location
No swimming pool

The hotel is been 20yrs +, the last time I checked in was 18/19 years back. Should we get started..

Location:
Strategy location downtown city centre. Shopping malls, food, MRT station just walking distance.

Parking:
Complimentary for in house guess, but is parking at LawYat Plaza.

Lobby:
Check in was fast, lobby is a bit small.
Receptionist is friendly and so is the security guard.

Room:
I took the lowest categories room available, but ones I entered...I'm back in 90s .

Neighborhood surrounding:
Jalan Alor well famous foods from local Chinese, Malay, India, but slowly have taken over by Vietnamese, Thai, middle East...

Overall experience:
18/19years ago I checked in to this hotel 18 years later now deco still the same, the left is really old school. The corridor is dark...
The winning points of this the scenery from the room 1704.
Really hopes the hotel keep the spirit high

A very nice and strategic hotel. Next to Jalan Alor Night Market. There are laundry stores just outside the hotel and also 7-11. A few minutes walk to Imbi Monorail Line Station and to Pavilion Shopping Mall. Friendly staff and comfy bed. And reasonable prices too.

I did not liked the place at all, despite the location is good. Awful breakfast to say the least. Room is ok, but the overall experience is depressing. Total lack of character. I would never came back here that’s for sure.
