I had an amazing stay! Rooms are spacious, awesome and bed is very comfy. I had a view in my room facing the Petrona Towers, that was fabulous! There is a giant pool that i didn’t get to enjoy, however i enjoyed the gym that is also huge! Staff is very kind and very lovely. Hotel is well located. Walking distance from Petrona Towers!

We stayed in the hotel two years ago and were really impressed, but now a little disappointed. The Club level rooms are a little more expensive but we think the quality is worth the extra expense. The rooms are large well appointed with a large comfortable bed, sofa, and desk. The club level has a lounge which is available all day and serves snacks and drinks at the appropriate time of the day. Breakfast can be taken there, although it offers limited choice so many club guests use the main restaurant, and here lies our disappointment. Previously the hotel restaurant was large opulent with a very wide range on international cuisine for breakfast. This has now gone replaced by the Evolution restaurant, which in my opinion does not meet the required standard. Why? It is really a lobby cafe rather than a restaurant, and is simply to small, guests often cannot find a free table. The restaurant offers a Chinese, Indian and Western food stations as well as a bakery. The arrangement is haphazard with no logic, the Indian station being close to the kitchen in a sort of corridor, it offered three vegetarian curries but no meat or fish options, not everyone is a vegetarian. The choice of local food was also limited, all of which was the same every day. whilst breakfast is not the only gauge of the quality of a hotel it is important, and on this score the hotel fails badly. The staff were as always helpful and friendly although as they were under pressure in the Evolution restaurant they had little time for their customers. There are better situated hotels in KL, and considering the rather downgrading f the facilities next time in KL we will choose another hotel, one perhaps that is not trying to penny pinch

I stayed here for two nights from 28FEB-01MAR2020 and was really frustrated by the experience. Before arriving I was notified in the Marriott Bonvoy app that we had received a suite upgrade. We arrived and it took well over 10 minutes standing at the desk to get checked in. During check-in no one thanked me or otherwise acknowledged my Marriott Ambassador Status...strange. Then we got to our room and realized that it was not a suite. I assumed that there was some kind of computer error that caused the check-in delay and room downgrade so I called the front desk and explained. They apologized and said they would put us in the suite as planned...but that took 35 minutes. Even though we eventually got into a very nice suite, there were many other problems. The guy who checked us in told us the wrong lounge hours. We had to go to the front desk three times because our keys kept losing access to the club lounge level. Check-out was also slow and seemed inefficient. The worst part of this stay was dealing with the concierge and desk employees in the lounge. My girlfriend and I were trying to book a food tour and requested the staff to help us call a couple of the companies we had found to help schedule the tour. Nobody in the hotel wanted to help us. The concierge just stared at us, hoping we would go away. I'm not sure if he didn't understand what a food tour was or if he just didn't care to pick up the phone and dial a few of the companies we were hoping to book with. The desk staff in the lounge were almost as bad. They said they would help schedule something but ended up making one call and ignoring us for over an hour until we tracked them down and they admitted to giving up. While many of the staff here seemed unhelpful and/or incompetent, it wasn't all bad. The room was beautifully-appointed, clean, comfortable, full of electric plugs, had fast Wi-Fi, and the bathroom was rather luxurious. All the cleaning and service staff were excellent. The main breakfast was fantastic. They've got a world-class buffet breakfast. The club lounge was also excellent as far as food and drink offerings go...just don't ask for tourism information. Hopefully my bad experience was a fluke. But it hurt to be treated so poorly, not only as an Ambassador Elite but as someone who stayed at this exact property in the past. I won't come back here. I don't recommend other Marriott Bonvoy Elites stay here when there are SO MANY alternatives in Kuala Lumpur.

Dear ewstuber, First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for the less than satisfactory experience and we are sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced. We do take the feedback of our guests seriously and thank you for your input. Please know that I have shared your disappointment with my team and we will build training processes for our associates to be sensitive towards guests' needs and not to have situations like these arise in the future. I do realize that this in no way makes up for the inconvenience you went through, but I do hope that you will not let this mar your impression of the hotel and would appreciate it if you would give us another opportunity to welcome you back so we may provide you with a refreshed experience which we pride ourselves in. On a more positive note, I am delighted that you enjoyed our facilities and amenities from our freshly refurbished rooms, culinary offerings at Evolution Café and exclusive R Club Lounge. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us following your recent stay. Best wishes, Bipan Kapur General Manager

This is an old hotel, but the rooms have been very nicely and recently updated. My friend and i had a twin room that was spacious, with a lounge and work table. plenty of space for hanging clothes and shelves. wonderful 'block-out' curtains. The bathroom was a good size with large shower and full bath and a large round 'light-up' mirror. The pool is huge with plenty of shade and a large bar area. We had access to the the Club lounge where the staff were lovely. Always happy to greet us and make sure we were comfortable. Easy access location to many things, monorail and free bus service across the road, the lrt (light rail transit) station only 5min walk. The staff certainly made our stay memorable for two Aussie ladies and we would happily recommend this hotel.
