PROS :
Prime Location -located close to the Petronas tower ,Pavillion mall and the meeting point for all tour buses
The reception staff (Diana) always had a smiling face, courteous , pleasant, helpful-approachable always
Check-in and check-out process: fast; no hassles
Restaurants surround the hotel - food trucks et al
24X7 hot water
On request to the Chef (met with a lot of hesitation to oblige) got to taste the famous " Roti Chanai and Dal "-that was brilliant when prepared fresh and hot by the Chef
The dining area staff (Nuhman) made an effort to greet all the occupants at breakfast with a smile
Maintenance staff very helpful

CONS:
Exterior-fancy , interiors-rooms suffer from lack of maintenance
On request for an upgrade , due to finding a dirty toilet was denied and given the charges, very curtly for the same
Sticklers for Check-in time , even when traveling with elderly occupants
Breakfast spread : bakery items were stale , South Indian dishes were terrible
The dining area staff are not friendly ( with any age group ); When asked about traditional Malaysian cuisine, they are not forthcoming or just to be seated , they can be very rude
No supervision from senior staff at breakfast; tables were left dirty

As my preferred hotel was changing to smoke free my staff assisted to find me a hotel that had smoking floors and was recommended Corus. Hence I booked the hotel room with a balcony in case they did not have a smoking room. Sad to say, when I arrived at the hotel, I was literally struggling with my huge luggage bag from the car boot while the bellhops were just busy chatting at their counter even though they had seen me. In the end it was my driver who came down from the car to assist. When I finally managed to get my bag and was going up the passageway then the bellhop offered his services and I rejected since they did not even bother in the first place. Upon checking in, I discovered that they had a smoking floor where I was allocated but minus my balcony. Nevertheless I accepted since the smoking floor was better for me. Alas when I got to my room, the keycard did not work and I had to go back down with my luggage to change the key. Upon entering the room I discovered that my safe was on low battery and the refrigerator ice tray was overflowing with water which shows that the housekeeping department is not doing their job well. They should check when guests are in house or checking out. The condition of the room is really worn and needs to be refurbished. The TV programs are also very pathetic with hardly any choices. The next day as it was raining I decided to have dinner at the hotel cafe. The chicken rice was highly recommended in the menu so I decided to try. There were only 2 tables besides me in the cafe and yet it took more than 45 minutes for my food to be served and my green apple juice had turned brown by that time! I must say kudos to the front desk team as they were not only efficient but friendly. They were quick to resolve issues but I did ask to see the General Manager whom somehow was in the hotel and even saw me but never acknowledged me considering the fact that I stayed there for 5 nights. I would also like to commend Aaron Thomas and Azmir F&B for their following up with all my feedback. They were the ones including the Front Desk team that made my stay more enjoyable! I would still highly recommend this hotel not because of the smoking floor but because of its exceptional location. There's a food truck park on the left of the hotel, a convenient store and nasi kandar restaurant on the right. Next to that is Avenue K where it is within walking distance to the nearest LRT station (KLCC & Ampang Park) and also an underpass to KLCC.

Room was alright for a smoking room. The fittings could be better. I guess the rooms could do a renovation of sorts as plaster-sealing could be seen all over the walls and bathroom. Our bathroom door creaking bothered me a bit. However, the hotel location was close to tourists’ spots and food was abundant and easy to find in the area.

I would like to commend Mazuf for the excellent service provided during our visit. From the moment we arrived, Mazuf was attentive, ensuring that our orders were taken accurately and delivered promptly. There was never any confusion, and everything was handled with professionalism and efficiency.

Throughout our meal, Mazuf checked in to ensure we were satisfied and promptly addressed any requests. What stood out the most was the proactive approach in clearing our plates as soon as we finished eating, keeping the table neat and organized. This level of attentiveness made the dining experience much more enjoyable.

Additionally, Mazuf maintained a friendly and welcoming attitude, making us feel valued as customers. It’s rare to find service that is both efficient and warm, but Mazuf managed to strike that balance perfectly.

Overall, Mazuf’s dedication to providing excellent service truly enhanced our experience. It’s always a pleasure to be served by someone who takes pride in their work and ensures customers are well taken care of. We appreciate the effort and look forward to returning for another great dining experience.

The hotel receptionist has provided us a very good impression today. He has been very friendly and helpful. This morning after fetching my friends back to the hotel and accompanied them to check out, but I forgot to validate my parking ticket. It would cost me RM20 per entry for the parking fees if I couldn't get my parking ticket validated (the guests have checked out and left). However, the front desk Mr Yeasin helped me to verify and confirming the hotel guest name & room number successfully, eventually granted me a validated parking ticket to wave the expensive parking fees. To me the front desk has demonstrated a helpful and customer care attitude. Many thanks to Mr. YAESIN for helping me addressing the parking ticket issue, appreciate very much. 👍

I'm sure the hotel was good in the 80s, but in this day and age, it's quite outdated. Not enough sockets to charge and plug gadgets. Our first room was on the 4th floor and we were not happy there at all. The hallway carpet had stains all over, it smelled musty, and our room did not feel nor smell clean. There was hair everywhere, the sheets were stained. They actually sell fragrances in the lobby, which is very telling. We asked to be moved to a different room. They obliged and moved us to the 8th floor. Conditions were slightly better, but still didn't feel clean. We spent a sleepless night because the pillows smelled funky and the sound from the street outside was so loud. The windows could not block out the sound at all, even on the 8th floor. The next day, we asked to be transferred again to a different room. They moved us to a pool-side cabana on the 2nd floor. It was much better there. Still had a musty smell, but not as bad. We bought a bottle of Dettol and sprayed every inch of the room every time we went out to disinfect it. By the 4th day, the room no longer smelled musty.

The only upside to this hotel is it has a bidet, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Ms. Diana at the frontdesk was especially helpful. The hotel was also able to help us find a driver to take us up to Genting Highlands for a day at a cheap price. And it is in an ideal location, right next to the food trucks and Avenue K.

If you're planning on staying here, manage your expectations because it is not a 4-star hotel. Really more like 2 stars. 2.5 is being generous. Go for their cabana rooms, which are much better than the godforsaken rooms on the 4th and 8th floors. We had to pay extra, but it was worth it.

The Corus KL used to be one of the go to hotels when staying in the KLCC area. However, like most legacy hotels, it has failed to keep up with the current trend. Do not let the hotel lobby deceive you. The lobby and corridors that seem well maintained gives a false expectation of the rooms. Having stayed in the hotel a few years ago, this stay was indeed a disappointment.

As soon as I walked into the room it smelled musty and the carpets felt damp. The room looked slightly rundown and the bathroom is nothing to brag about. The room curtains looked old and worn (even had a patch where light penetrated through), and the shower curtain (yes, CURTAIN), was stained. The furnishing was outdated and the air-cond was not cold enough for the room. I had to leave the windows open for a few hours to air the room and remove the bad odor from the carpets. The bed was ok, but old (I checked), and the pillows were as flat as pita bread. I would have changed rooms but my wife and I were on a tight schedule as we had to attend an event in a few hours and did not want to waste time moving rooms (besides, there's no guarantee what disaster awaits us there).

Breakfast the next morning was nothing to brag about either. I am guessing, due to the lack of staff in light of the recent pandemic, there was only one waiter seen buzzing around the breakfast floor.

I have stayed in boutique hotels with better rooms than the Corus KL. Situated in a prime location, I hope the hotel management invest in updating the rooms and their breakfast menu, befitting to the location they are in.

Careful, I do not recommend this hotel. We booked for a group of 19 people through Vanda Travel Borneo. The hotel is completely outdated, in a very bad condition, the corridors of the floors, the walls are dirty and the paint is peeling, the carpets are old, very dirty. There is no soundproofing in the rooms, you can hear everything both in the corridor and, even worse, in the neighboring rooms. The double-floor rooms have even worse soundproofing, because the windows open onto the street, the noise is through the night!! The internal telephone was not working in the room, complaints could not be made by telephone. Breakfast is poor for a 4* hotel - there is no Western or European food, coffee machines are constantly being repaired, queues are forming, you have to waste time. The fruit selection is poor. There is no Bekery, cakes, croisant, etc. at all! Shame!! The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The rest corresponds to a 2-3* hotel no more.

I am warning everyone about the poor management and dishonest practices of this hotel. I made two reservations for the period from July 25 to July 28 through Klook and Almatar.

Firstly, the Klook reservation was rejected by the hotel without notifying the Klook team, which has led to ongoing issues with obtaining a refund.

For the Almatar booking, although it was confirmed a week in advance, our stay was extremely disappointing. We booked a room for three guests but were given a small room on a floor with a strong moldy smell. One family member with a chest allergy and another with a stomach flu were particularly affected. The initial room was uninhabitable for my allergy-stricken family member, leading us to request a room change.

The new room, while better, still had a moldy smell and was located near a construction site, causing significant discomfort and disrupting rest. The hotel staff assured us that we could cancel the reservation and receive a refund for the two nights if Almatar contacted them. However, when Almatar did so, the hotel rejected the cancellation and refused the refund.

I have supporting documentation for all these issues, which I will share to illustrate the severity of our experience. Be cautious about booking this hotel as they do not prioritize guest health or uphold their promises.

Dondang sayang coffee house - Please take the ice kacang off your menu! This is the worst ice kacang we ( a local person and a hawaiian family) have ever tasted. The ice is extremely corse and it took hours to melt! It is tastless and the kacang is at the bottom. It is challenging to reach the kacang and takes a long time to be served. Please have local workers to make a real, authentic ice kacang. We wonder if anything else on the menu will be edible or authentic. The hawaiian family ordered english breakfast tea and our server told us they do not have it! Then, we go and ask the supervisor and a very long time later he comes back with the tea! We hope you take this matter seriously to enhance your client experience & expectation so that it will be valued for money.
