We originally booked a room in the next doors Sahabat Guesthouse but as we arrived it seemed the booking was not taken... To bad, but luckily the manager shows us the brand new place next door: Phoenix.

The place opened very recently and everything is brand new, so is the team that is more than helpful and very friendly but learning.

Price is very good compared to other places in the area and the location is perfect if you want to be close to everything but not in the middle of it.

We stayed in the VIP room, which sounds a bit off but is was really nice and very much value for money.

Go there now as it is not yet discoverd!

Located in a quiet neighborhood in Bukit Bintang,so it's easy to get a rest at night. The bed is really comfortable, the sheets are thick and clean, the whole facilities are really clean. Although the toilet/bathroom is small, but it is clean enough. The common area is too small,in my opinion, but I didn't get to hang around at that place because I was always out. The shopping centres are about 15mins walk from the property. The bus stop for the Hop on-Hop off bus is just 5mins away. And another 5mins walk will take you to all the bars and pubs that are so lively. Just a note,be careful when you walk alone at night to/from the hostel, because the street is dimly-lit and it could be dangerous at times.

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. It was incredibly clean and the staff are very friendly. The only complaint I have is how loud the staff are at night. Our room was right beside the lobby, and with very thin walls it sounded like they were right inside our room, this went on until close to 2am. Besides that though we had a fantastic time.

Very nice place. Yes, toilet and bathroom are shared but always very clean. Very quiet at night. Guys who run that place are extremely friendly :)
Very good location - you can get to Menara and Petronas towers by walk. AT night time lot of fun on Jalan Alor and Bukit Bintang, which are in 5-10 minutes by walk.

We spent some time walking around Bukit Bintang looking for an appropriate place and this was by far the nicest we saw, so opted to stay there! Seconds walk from the main strip with bars and restaurants and within walking distance from city centre (if you don't mind 30-40 min). It's really clean, bed was comfortable and the staff are lovely; very willing to help. I would barter with them on the price of laundry though!

Its so clean you have to wear your sunglasses in the rooms. We stumbled upon the Phoenix as we search for a backpacker place. The place is brand new. Now the rooms are small, but very very clean as are the shared bathroom. It was way better than the other places we checked in the area. The lady on reception was helpful and had a welcoming smile. The acid test is would we go back and the answer is YES without doubt. Did I mention its not expensive.

Stayed here on several occasions and you definitely get value for money. Rooms are cheap, 30- 60RM and the staff is extremely friendly. Also, the sheets are the cleanest I've encountered anywhere in the world. The place is a bit disorganized but that's part of its charm.

Great for backpackers or families who are looking for additional comfort for a reasonable price. They provide clean sheets and thick blanket. The beds are comfotable and the air-cond is great. We had a desktop in our private room and there is an additional computer in the spacious hallway. The place is clean and tidy. The flooring is carpeted, making it cosy. The shower is very nice and hot. There is even hot and cold water dispensers for free use. The manager and staff are very kind and friendly. There is no need to worry about parking space there. And just 20 meters down the road, there is a nice little convenience store.

Having stayed at the awful hotel next door we stayed at the Home Phoenix for two nights and although it's clean, sleeping is not an option. The hotel is in a good location and the staff are very friendly but they don't seem to realise they are running a hotel. Inviting friends in, playing music, doing washing and shouting until 2am isn't acceptable.

The only reason I'm not giving this a 1 rating is because it's cheap and a good location.
