I like the environment of the hotel, the attitude & service that provided by the counter staff & security guard.

The counter staffs are very friendly & patient to customer. During my check in, I saw one of the elder staff (I think should be manager or supervisor) is quite helpful & do his best to satisfy customer needs. It surprising me as most of the staff will not provide extra service to customer.

And the security guard, he still willing to open the locked door for me at the lobby when I back to the hotel around 4-5 am. Even he know that I have the room card to open it myself. It surpricing me once again.

The promotion price is cheap, so I expect the hotel & room is like normal budget hotel initially. But I'm shocked when I reach the hotel, it is quite new & the room is quite clean & big, And I'm so glad that I can use wifi in my room instead of sitting at the lobby, some of the 3 - 4 star hotel even not provide wifi.

I feel that I spent a budget price but stayed in a non budget hotel. It is really value for money. 7-11 is another add-on benefit for people like me who always feel hungry in the mid of the night & wants to take some food & drink.

The only bad thing is it is a little bit far from the shopping mall but I don't mind to spend about RM10-15 to take a taxi instead of staying near the shopping mall but poor hygiene & service.

For those who spends little money but expect for 5 star service, perhaps you should stay at your home as U pac hotel is really one of the best budget hotel I've ever stayed. Once you experience the worst in Kuala Lumpur, you will know it. Please do understand that what you pay is what you get. I will still consider this hotel for my next visit to Kuala Lumpur & will highly recommend to my friends & family.

Been to this hotel for a night with friends and it was a very good one. Very clean and the service was excellent. Staffs and owner were very friendly and accommodating. The only thing is that the room we got was windowless and maybe because it's a new one, it's not very known to taxi drivers. Besides that, everything else was perfect.

hotel is tucked back off the main drag and is some way out of town but recption was good and chinese guy very helpful and friendly. found we had inadvertently booked a room without a window and had to pay for and upgrade at about 20 ringits a night.
room was good - clean comfortable slept well. downside was no kettle - had to go down corridor for hot water.
breakfast included was good fair selection of food.
would we use it again - yes

advised against using the local tube station and having tried it can see why - not a plesent walk even in daylight. tried to use local bus just around corner on main road but one never arrived while we were waiting so used taxis. depending on time of travel can cost significant amounts while snarled up in the horrendous traffic which is a KL wide problem. Taxi drivers in KL are a pain in the ar5e after about 7pm - all the meters stop working and they try for 3 or 4 times the correct fare. told several to go stuff themselves but you eventually need to get back. none of this is the hotels fault but its the thing that stands out most from our visit to KL.

In the evening of 1st of October ,it is pouring heavily and me and my family were stuck in the traffic for more than 2 hours. Both my kids age 10 and 12 need to use the toilet urgently and we are happy that we came across this hotel. Unfortunately both of the employees in the premises do not allow my children to use the toilet on the reason it’s meant for guest only. I have been travelling around the world both developed and undeveloped countries, I believe none will do the same. Even we were not the hotel guest ,as a Malaysian Im disappointed with the lack of compassion shown by the hotel inhuman policy.

We arrived at U pac late in the evening ready to check in. We were greeted by a man who was very rude to us regarding the amount we paid to stay there. He proceeded to print out my booking and point out how I had supposedly ripped them off and people pay a lot more to stay there. Given the hotel is half an hour's walk from any public transport, in the most run down area of Kuala Lumpur and the streets are full of rubbish and frequented with rats I find that hard to believe.

Once the manager begrudgingly decided to accept our booking I was made to hand over a 100 Malaysian Ringgit deposit. This was not communicated to us before arriving and as we had just come from the airport we had no cash to hand over. In my naivety I expected him to allow us to pay the next day as it was already half 11 at night at this rate. Unfortunately I was made to go and find the nearest cash point which was a half an hour walk away and down some very dodgy alleyways. When I got back to the hotel dripping in sweat due to the long flight and extreme heat I handed over the deposit and was told that my reward for my efforts were that he wasn't going to kick us out the hotel. We were then shown to our room. Which looked nothing like the picture there was no window, a bathroom that flooded with every shower, and stained towels and bedsheets. I would have forgiven this had our reception been more pleasant but alas it was not.

The one silver lining of our stay was the lady on the front desk during the day was very lovely and welcoming.

My wife and I were in KL for only two days and were satisfied with U Pac. We chose this hotel because it's new and has a good price.
We asked to see the different rooms which are all very nice, but we chose the deluxe room in the end. The standard room is really quite small and would not have been big enough for fitting our two suitcases. The room is very clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. Nice detail is that soaps were restocked every morning and toothbrushes were provided.
The room was quiet even though we were on a street side. Breakfast was well stocked with enough choice. Receptionists were very helpful in providing us with sightseeing info and how to get certain places.

I must say that travelling by train at night was not the best choice. Getting to the hotel will lead you through a dark deserted industrial neighbourhood which didn't feel very safe. We came from Chinatown that night and we should have taken a taxi.

Small advice when giving the taxi driver directions: tell him to go to 'Wisma Mah Sing', because nobody knows the hotel.

In general, we had a great stay at the U Pac hotel and would come again.

We stayed here for 6 nights in two adjoining rooms. The cleanliness of the rooms, halls, lobby, linen was impeccable. The best of the hotels we stayed in malaysia and Bali during our journey. Breakfasts were varied and buffet, and had sufficient variety for us vegetarians to be satisfied. Staff were friendly and super helpful in our use of the public transport system. Could see kl tower and petronas towers from our first floor room, but some street noise at night. Short walk to Chan sow Lin train station, even shorter walk to bus stop. Corner stores close by for fruit and grocery items.

My Boyfriend and I are backpacking throughout Asia and we chose to stay at this Hotel to wait for my boyfriend to recover, we have been here 8 nights now and haven't left even though he is better. The staff are super friendly and will go out of there way to assist you in anyway. The manager dismissed a worker so he could take us to the Doctor. The manager also took as to a great Indian place, where we had a Beautiful curry! They definitely make you feel very welcomed and have your best interest in mind. The rooms are super clean, has a comfortable bed and comes with the essentials eg toothbrush, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. The toilet is very modern and has hot/cold water showers that have a good pressure. The hotel itself is very new, and you can tell as soon as you walk in. We questioned them to ask why it was only 2 stars and that was due to the fact they don't have a restaurant or swimming pool. Across the road on one side they have a great variety of Hakwer food and across the road on the other is the Southgate complex, with shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone and anyone. Its not in the hassle of the big city but close enough to go by bus (bus stop 2min walk away) or by the monorail. Only recommendation I would give to anyone staying at this hotel would be to make sure you carry there business card with you at all times, purely for the fact that hardly anyone or Taxi drivers know where it is because it is such a newly developed area.
Their is no satellite TV which would be really the only thing to complain about, but even then there are a few English shows on and movies.. just have to flick the Tv on at the right time really.

We stayed in U Pac Hotel for 5 nights and my only complaint is the distance to KL Central. Apart from that it was faultless. Quiet, clean well decorated rooms. The Hotel is next to a food Market with delicious local food. There is a 24/7 Supermarket next door. The staff was always very friendly and very helpful. They hand out maps and explain convenient ways to get into KL and the Batu Caves. Overall highly recommendable!!!

Recently I stayed at UPac Hotel in a Triple room for my entire trip of 9 nights and 10 days. (27th June to 6th July 2013)

It's one of the most pleasant stay in a budget hotel with a 5 Stars Service. The staffs were prompt, efficient, friendly and helpful. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean and tidy with fresh supply of toilet amenities daily including toothbrush and toothpaste. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We felt absolutely secure staying in the hotel.

There are food stalls opposite and around the corners of the Hotel. Just less than a minute walk opposite the Hotel you can get breakfast at a Malay stall which sell authentic varieties of Malay food and curries . They were cheap and very delicious.

As our flight was at night, the Hotel extended its service to store our belongings after we checked out. They were safely stored and locked up under the care of the staffs in the Hotel.

It'll be my number One choice of Hotel when I visit Kuala Lumpur again.

I highly recommend U Pac Hotel for tourists looking for value-for-money accommodation.
