Visited Kuala Lumpur with my frIends and they recommended this place for lodging. It was a good choice.

Checking in was a breeze and I was allocated a room on the higher floor which offered amazing views from my balcony. It’s rather scary to actually looked down from my balcony.

Room was huge with different sections for dining and the bedroom. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom didn’t come with a bathtub which was a pity. The room was well appropriated with well designed furnitures and functional features.

The swimming pool was pretty nice and individual small jacuzzi units were also located on the same level. I used the gym while I was there and it was well equipped with both weights, treadmills and machines.

Breakfast was good, with a rather extensive spread. Location was rather close to mid valley mall and KLCC. All you need is the grab app and everywhere becomes easy.

Stayed a week here and stayed in a Studio which was 60sqm in size which was very new and spotlessly clean. The room layout was excellent with a well equipped kitchenette for light cooking and a proper refrigerator (I hate mini bar fridge cause they are really useless.). The bathroom is a dream and is amazingly huge and is stocked with Malin+Goetz. The bed in the bedroom was so good and has a huge 50 inch Television with a great view at night as the hotel starts from level 23. There is a spin and play room where you can do your own laundry and play some video games. I also sent a few work shirts for wash and dry and they are also super affordable.

Breakfast was great with a great variety and was consistently rotating, they also have a freshly squeezed juice bar which is a really nice touch. The best part is actually on the roof at level 33, a infinity rooftop pool with a bar which is gorgeous with an amazing city view and some really good drinks. There are also some private jacuzzi tubs above level 33 and is a great place to soak up the sun with some privacy.

Capri by Fraser is really very well located, being accessible to everywhere and is right beside Nexus which has a lot of food and a shopping mall 5 minutes walk away. Grab and Uber are readily available around to bring you to the city.

Had to make a short trip to Kuala Lumpur (KL) last minute. Had wanted to stay in Hotel X, near where we would alight from coach, however, it had full occupancy. Then, hotel Y, near coach stop too, was very old, thanks to TA reviewers, we saw photos of old bath tubs, old hair dryers, ancient taps and dirty carpet etc. We chanced upon reviews on Capri Fraser (it was No. 5 for KL hotels under TA last week and I think its position has risen) and decided to give it a try though it is neither near Bt Bintang nor Petronas Towers area.

We felt so welcomed by the always-smiling and extremely friendly Omar at the front desk. The earlier 10-min uphill climb from Universiti LRT station was almost forgotten immediately. We had earlier decided to take the trains to escape from the traffic jam.

The first impression of Capri Fraser KL : fantastic! Love the light-coloured, hip decor and furniture! The polo-shirt uniform of the staff makes them look young, lively, friendly and approachable.

The 650sf-room that comes with a fully-equipped kitchenette and a balcony is something that we adore! Beds are comfortable and we used double pillows for extra comfort. Love the L-shaped mirrors, the huge TV and Malin+Goetz toiletries! We cannot think of something that we need that Capri Fraser KL does not have in its room. The washing machines are located on a few floors in "SPIN" room.

Having stayed and swum in the sky pool of Marina Bay Sands (MBS) Singapore, we have yet to find another hotel that gives the same feel till we stay at Capri Fraser KL. Never mind that MBS' infinity pool overlooks the CBD of Singapore and that of Capri Fraser KL does not, the infinity pool at Capri (on the 33rd storey) boasts a view that is enough to captivate, especially at night. On the 34th storey, you will find private gazebos that overlook exactly the same KL view as its infinity pool. To Capri management: we feel it would be nice to have a few chairs to put our towels and clothes/bathrobes on the 34th storey.

Capri Fraser KL can be a business hotel and also a family hotel. It provides free one-way shuttle bus to town, useful for guests who are on business trip and do not wish to catch a cab. It also has so many facilities for children such as indoor playground, children's pool, kick-boxing (well, kids can have a casual go at kick boxing facility just for the fun of it) and games room. For the adults, besides the pool, you have got the gym with brand new equipment. One night was NOT enough for us to enjoy all the facilities.

Breakfast is at 6.30-10.30am and it is prudent to be early as there was a pretty long queue at 9.45am. We started our breakfast at 9.30am and we did not need to queue. For the 4 recent hotels that we stayed in Malaysia, 3 in JB and 1 in KL, I think Renaissance JB has the best breakfast. For the price we paid for Capri Fraser, the breakfast was good enough, we have been spoilt for choices by the other 3 hotels in JB. Capri may want to consider to place more 2-guest tables so that 2 guests do not occupy a 4-guest table, that may alleviate the queue issue. For the time being, I think Capri management may consider roping in more staff to help out during breakfast time as we encountered a Filipina staff that was obviously overworked and something that had happened between the staff and one of the guests. We are uncertain but we think the guest either enjoyed his breakfast without paying or perhaps not agreeing to pay, it was a not-so-pleasant scene due to the harsh tone of Filipina staff's voice and guest sitting outside the breakfast area with a bowl of fruit on the floor.

Have a drink at its bar on the 33rd storey. It's nice! Happy hour ends at 9pm.

Capri Fraser is part of the Bangsar South Development project which has hotel, offices and retail components, thus you can venture into Life Care Centre (half minute from Capri), Nexus (one minute away) and Sphere (5 minutes away) retail outlets to take a look. "Subway" and other small eateries in Life Care Centre and Sphere, and mid-end restaurants at Nexus. There is a money changer at Sphere, behind the escalator, basement. There is a supermarket at Sphere's basement too. If you want to venture further, you can take an LRT to brand new shopping centre, Nu Sentral @ KL Sentral station, just 4 stations away from Universiti station. You will be able to find shops, restaurants, food court and upcoming cinemas at Nu Sentral. No necessity to shop at Bt Bintang malls which we found old and uninviting. Nu Sentral mall has the same standard as Singapore malls, just like City Square in JB.

We have not been to KL for more than 10 years. Having been to Bukit Bintang in this recent trip, looking at the massive traffic jam on the roads, the crowd in the hotels and shopping centres, and the not-so-well-maintained and not-well-refurbished hotels there, we highly recommend Capri Fraser KL, not only the hotel is brand new (opened only in Apr 2014), the surrounding buildings are new, modern and clean, and most importantly, quiet and peaceful. There is no traffic jam. And Universiti LRT is a mere 10-minute walk away if you miss the free Capri Shuttle bus.

Well, having all the hardware above is just one aspect, it is the software, its warm and friendly staff that makes Capri Fraser special and the RIGHT choice for us, and hopefully for you too!

Where to begin?! My stay at Capri in August 2015 was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered; I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Check in was okay - the hotel is in a very residential neighbourhood away from the centre, but the receptionist was nice and the overall check in process was fast.
Upon entering the room everything looked to be fine, but on closer inspection there were three issues with the room: firstly, the bathroom had a terrible smell coming out of it so we were forced to use the en suite for the duration of our two day stay. Also, the third bedroom had no nightlight; this was minor but annoying nonetheless. Perhaps most worryingly, both in the living room and third bedroom there were hairs on the floor and in the living room there were even nail clippings (ugh! - see photos attached)

The room also had a faulty drier. This was quite an issue for us as we had selected the Capri as a place to wash our clothes on our trip. It took three phone calls to reception and a visit down ourselves to sort this out. When we went down the (incompetent) receptionist said that our room did not exist; we had to prove ourselves to them! In fairness to the hotel, at the end of this saga, they did accept the drier as faulty and agreed to dry it themselves.

Breakfast was poor with a basic selection and items running out and never being replenished. The night prior to our departure, we requested a wake up call. When dawn broke we had woken - prior to the time set for the call, so we consequently cancelled the call. Ten minutes prior to the time which the (now cancelled) wake call was due for, the call sounded. Bizarrely, more wake up calls then sounded, until a manual wake up call came from reception. We told them what happened and the issue was finally resolved.

This next issue I share with some reluctance, as we no have no decisive proof that it occurred. A grey box, containing art work from Penang, may have gone missing at the hotel. Without doubt, the box arrived at the hotel and did not leave. Prior to leaving a hotel, it would standard procedure for us to check every area of the room to confirm we had every item. The item was either therefore taken between check in and check out or perhaps it was left their due to our own incompetence, though we believe this to be unlikely as the item was at least a metre and a half in length and not in truth the manner of item one would leave behind. Regardless, the hotel was a major disappointment due to the various other reasons mentioned. Avoid.

Too much credit and hype.

I decided to stay here because the hotel looks great from the website. Plus I am from KL so location was good because its near to everything you need and anywhere you want to go. Book the hotel at 3pm for one night stay. Paid using my card through expedia and it said within 20minutes the hotel will get the confirmation. Fine. I received email confirmation from expedia almost immediately and my bank card provider too send me a confirmation of payment transaction. After going around KL and spending time with friends, I check in to the hotel at 11pm with my 8 years old son. The hotel parking was quite and empty not very safe for anyone. I didn't see CCTV around when walking to lift area. When I approach front desk, to my surprise no one greet me. There are 5 girls in front desk all pretending being busy but there's no customer except me! I waited until the girl look up at me and she say nothing! Wow! What a service you have here Capri. I have to tell her my reservation. With sour face she told me she cannot find it due to a reason I booked today when their reservation department has been closed. What? I ask her to do what she can do because I need the room, I book and have paid for it and my son is tired and hungry its passed 11pm. Another girl come to help but what's the point they keep making me wait.

So here's my advice to any of you who want to stay in Capri, don't stay here! Its not worth it. The room wasn't great anyway, it's not properly clean, the toilet has no door, hotel surrounding full of construction site, the taxi from the hotel is super expensive, hotel service basically close at 4pm and of course their service sucks too.

I found pubic hair inside the toilet bowl. There's used toothpick on the study table. See the photo.

Swear not gonna stay in this hotel anymore.

Goodbye. Maybe you should rename this hotel to CRAPPY not Capri. Booo!!!

I'm actually near the tail end of my stay here & after spending most of the day & some of the night on the rooftop decided to submit my review before I regretfully checkout.

The rooftop facilities including infinity swimming pool, infinity spas, bar, seating, viewing platforms giving 360 views, steam room, sauna etc are top notch, best I've ever experienced in SE Asia (visit 1-2 months every year across all destinations). The views, the twinkling lights, the echoes of song & prayer coming from the cities many temples just create a feeling of pure relaxation & it's simply gorgeous, also the rooftop facilities were never overran with guests, always very quiet & peaceful.

The staff are incredibly friendly, bright, fresh, happy to see you, happy to help & answer questions, understanding of English very good & just all round very pleasant indeed.

The location is far away so be on alert, you will need to either transport via the LRT (750m walk away) or via taxi. The location is a bit annoying when & if you want to step out quickly & go sight seeing or grab some food, or just feel like a wonder around. Like right now I'd like to go to the Hawkers Row food market in Bukit Bintang for dinner but it will involve a train, a monorail & quite a bit of walking & will take at least 30 minutes & up to around an hour through heavily populated public transport & traffic.

Be warned there is really not many shops or restaurants around this hotel as this area is currently amidst construction, no issue with noise but they're building heavily around here & it's not a tourist hotspot or zone.

The break first for me is absolutely a miss unfortunately. Even though it's included within the price I've paid (excess of $120 AUD per night), I don't see much point in getting up & going down there. There is NO pork products at all including bacon & sausages, they do have turkey bacon which I found revolting, the chicken sausages I didn't like, too fleshy & raw, they had some potato wedges which were far too soft & at break first I'd prefer hash browns, eggs no flavour, local foods only a couple to choose from & again no flavour, didn't try any bread or pastries, the only thing I remotely enjoyed was the orange juice & the bowl of cereal I had but on a holiday - how boring.

The room is comfortable, not luxurious but comfortable & spacious, comfortable bed & pillows, nice & bright, clean & fresh, nice toiletries, good view from the balcony (I'm on level 25), quiet, no noise from next door or hallway.

All in all a nice stay with a comfortable room, great staff & a fabulous rooftop, I'm not sure if I'll stay again next year giving the location & break first & price paid in consideration to everything but please be mindful of the location if your planning to explore.

The location is perfect if you are going to Bangsar a South. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and bars, very convenient, but it is NOT the city centre. Yet the LRT station is 10 min walk and then only 15 min by train to the center. This is actually almost Petaling Jaya. The hotel is brand new. Our room had bad septic smell and they had to change it. The rooms are large, modern and comfortable. The included breakfast is ok and service is excellent. Reception service not so good but ok. The best part of the hotel is the infinity pool in the rooftop overlooking the city. Awesome!!!

The Klia is expensive but fast. If you want to save some money, use the bus to Sentral instead of the Klia, then the metro to the hotel. Happy travels 😀
