Planned to stay for 3 nights at this hotel. But on the 1st night, Government of Malaysia release lock-diwn statemen due to covid-19. So must shorten tge stay and asked the hotel wether they can charged us for 2 nights only But the hotel refused. Saying that the reason for our cancellation was not their fault. It is actually not our fault either. Ans not intended. If it is not because of the issuance of lock-down, we will enjoy the stay in Kuala Lumpur. But then We MUST leave Kuala Lumpur immediately otherwise we will stuck in Malaysia for 2 weeks. Such bad empathy for hotel management that is ripping off it customer in such situation.

Reservation canceled 4 days after making, one hour after check-in was possible (on the arrival day). Staff showed no interest in trying to solve the problem and offered a room twice as expensive. No apologies, nothing. Hotel booked through booking.com, first time something like this happened to me. Be aware!

Response from Alex Teoh, Owner at Ceria Hotel
Responded 7 Aug 2020
Dear Kradżi, Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We always aim to deliver a seamless reservation to stay experience. However, apparently your reservation was cancelled by Bcom due to an invalid credit card issue. We will reflect on this feedback to make improvements. Should you need to stay in KL in the future please email me directly at reservation@ceriahotel.com and I would be happy to make special arrangements for you. I do hope I can welcome you back to the hotel in the near future. Kind regards Hotel Manager, Roland Seq

We were greeted by friendly staff and check-in was quick. Our room was 212 (Third Floor) so the music from next door club at night was subtle. Room was spacious and clean. TV only have local channels and advertising media. Internet was fast and stable. There is an power outlet below the TV that allow many countries's standard to be plugged into. Cold and hot water dispenser are available at each floor. Hotel has no elevator, but they have young staff helping to carry heavy lugguage to guest room. Although hotel is located near Times Square (KL MonoRail), there is a steep slope to climb, and there is no proper pavement from top of that steep slope down to the other side where hotel is. Tourists with trolley luggage will have hard time pulling through unless on the road. There is no proper pavement from LRT Hang Tuah too as there is construction going on. Temporary pavement is very rugged, not suitable for heavy trolley luggage. I would only recommend this Hotel to the young backpackers and people with no knee problem.

This hotel is a bit small and rooms can feel dark and bit isolated since (as an example) our room did not have any windows. However, it is based in a great location with metro station just couple minutes away. We also managed to walk to chinatown and many other locations from it. It is a budget option but you get a great value for your money. Keep in mind you will have to pay additional RM10 for each night as a tourist tax and RM50 as a deposit but you will get the deposit back when you check out.

I stayed at this hotel for a night (27 July 2019). The hotel is located nearby Berjaya Times Square and there are a few middle east restaurants nearby. The room is simple with basic necessity. The security was good. Unfortunately the kettle in my room could not be used to boil the water (no big deal though) Overall it was a pleasent stay.

The room was too small and dark. The bathroom stinks and there is no slipper provided. Not enough space on the cabinet/locker and the counter table is too small. Daily cleaning was not implemented when I stayed there although they emptied the trash daily.

i chose this coz it says Bukit Bintang, but is actually located in the outskirt, may be a kilometer walk to KL Pavilion. nearby like 200 meter walk is Berjaya Times Square. so location wise, it's being on it w/o being in it. also nearby, on the side and on the back is a food alley offering middle eastern food. so i guess, this part, is like middle eastern, but way down, perhaps some chinese asian food. anyway, first, ceria hotel does not have a lift. i was billeted on the 3rd level (they refer to it as 2nd floor, GF is like 0, then 1, 2 going up) at the end of the corridor. reception says that is the room with windows, which i realized is really limited on this property. the room space is just right, with almost a third of the space occupied by the glass walled toilet and bath..the bed sheets are quet old and thin, and needs starch and bleach or replacement..the aircon is sometimes warm, at times, just enough cool. the price is ok. so if u see a peomo rate, go ahead and book.

Hotel location was great near to Berjaya Times Square. Walking distance of abiut less than 5 min. Great place to stay but WiFi not that good in the room. Price was very affordable and cheap value for money... There is charge of Rm10 charge for tourism per night... 😞

I book for 2 nights at this hotel because it is near to berjaya time square mall. Price also affordable only RM100 for king size bed. Just nice for me, my wife and both my children age 4 and 1 yr half. Water dispenser just outside our room. If i travel to Kl again i will book this hotel for sure. No doubt. You only spent less than 10 hour to sleep and take shower. So dont fussy as long as u got a nice room and bed to stay for couple of days.
