This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location at KLCC with unrivaled views of the Petronas Towers. The service is excellent and the rooms are large and comfortable. Amenities are a bit dated - in particular the tech - and the room lighting is a nightmare to figure out. The hotel gets very busy with conferences and we would probably choose something more intimate next time we visit KL. Saying that, don’t be deterred from Traders especially if you have business at KLCC
We arrived early at around 10am+ and was glad that our room was available. Check-in was very prompt and staff were friendly. Car parking is located at part of the convention centre. We felt safe to park our car here and it has a section which is only for hotel’s guests. Very specious and clean room and bathroom, with all toiletries provided. Bedroom slippers are also provided. Love that you can also hear to the tv channels while in the bathroom. Last but not least, the view of the twin towers is awesome! Will definitely stay this hotel again for our next KL trip!
Having visited KL on many occasions, I was really looking forward to my first stay at Traders. I prepaid my stay weeks in advance with Club Lounge access and requested late access to the Lounge as I had a late flight out. The hotel has a great location and is well maintained but offers less than other hotels. After having the very limited breakfast at the Club Lounge, we chose to try the On the Go Restaurant hoping for a better selection. Both venues are severely lacking and do not compare favorably with similar KL Hotels. Food at breakfast is not replenished for almost an hour before breakfast ends with the staff echoing "all gone" repeatedly. Trying to put an order at the Egg Station was a nightmare with "Ram" showing open rudeness and attitude. When asking about the previously mentioned Lounge access, I was told that it will be addressed at checkout, which was then declined. I moved to another hotel to freshen up before my flight. Overall this was a less than satisfactory experience at Traders KL and it is unlikely that I will return to this property in future. I have experienced much better in KL and I regret the decision to try Traders KL.…
I would highly recommend this hotel for your KL visit. Apart from the excellent location it was extremely comfortable, clean and the staff were very attentive. We stayed for 6 nights and ate most of our meals in the hotel. The food was of the highest quality from breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would also recommend a visit to Bara on 6 fantastic fish and seafood! My only negative point is the hotel is showing its age and needs a little updating. Apart from the I would still give it 9/10 for meeting our expectations.
We had a meeting at the KLCC and stayed for 9 days. The service is outstanding from the General Manager , Daniel Kaeflein , all the way down. The breakfast was extraordinary as was the cleanliness of the room and gym. The direct access to the KLCC and the walkways to the Malls make it an ideal stay in KL
Disappointing start. We arrived at the hotel at about 6.30pm after a flight from Thailand. I had booked and paid for a twin room, smoking with a view of the Petronas towers. The receptionist informed me a smoking twin room was not available. Having booked the room several months earlier, I told her I didn't want to compromise and expected what I'd paid for. Eventually we were givbe a non smoking room but with permission to smoke. Problem solved. The rooms are OK. Nothing special and certainly not 5 star. Furniture and decor fairly dated. The only saving grace is the view. And boy, what a view.
We stayed for a week in this excellent hotel. The room is tidy, quiet, spacious, comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and always ready to help. The location of the hotel could not be better. Abundant breakfast with a lot of variety. For every recommendation
An innovatively designed hotel with reception on level 5. Rooms were clean and comfortable and our view of the Petronas towers was exceptional. Food quality and particularly service standards varied too much. The Bara on 6 restaurant was outstanding whilst the Gobi chit chat was poor for dinner but good for breakfast. The standards of service shown by the staff in Bara on 6 was not evident elsewhere. The sky bar is an example of the innovative design but the hotel's priority to corporate groups made me feel second class. More consistency is needed in restaurant staff and a reassessment of their attitude towards paying clients.
This Hotel was Amazing. Fantastic views of Petronas Towers. From my room window. The food, was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Gym was brilliant and the rooftop pool. The Sky Bar is up there too for evening entertainment. Best hotel ever. Miss Ann Cox 2017
This is my third time staying here at this hotel. The reason I keep going back is the location is absolutely perfect. You’re in the middle of everywhere and you can walk it everywhere very easily. You get some of the best views of the petronas towers from your room. The staff at this hotel are also very friendly. However it’s a shame that in 5/6 years they haven’t changed the room up at all. It’s still very outdated and dull looking. I visited a few other hotels this time round near by to traders and have to say everywhere else is so modern compared to here. Overall though the location and price is right. Just needs modernisation and it would so much better for the guests.
