Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Novotel City Center. The location was perfect, with Pavilion Mall just a short walk away and accessible via an internal link. Bukit Bintang and KLCC Park were also within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was impressive, with a wide variety of Malaysian dishes and freshly made tetarik tea. The room was modern and comfortable, with a cozy bed, multiple soft pillows and USB charging port. I appreciated the hotel's sustainable efforts, such as filtered water in the faucet and eco-friendly toiletries. However, there were a few minor drawbacks - the lack of a water bottle that could have stored water in the fridge for cold drink and a mini bar would have been nice additions. Additionally, the tissue paper could have had an extra roll. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Center to others.

Dear ArchieOffDuty, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated our central location, breakfast buffet, and sustainable efforts. We noted your comments regarding the glass bottle for cold water storage and the mini bar. We understand how these details can enhance your comfort, and we will review these points to ensure they are addressed for future stays. We also appreciate your suggestion about providing an extra roll of tissue paper and will consider this for our amenities. Thank you again for your recommendation and for highlighting the positive aspects of your visit. We look forward to welcoming you back to Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre in the future. Conveniently located at the intersection of Jalan Kia Peng and Perak in the midst of the cluster of hotels, such as the Banyan Tree, Pullman Grand Hyatt, J. W. Marriott, to name a few, and across from the Pavilion shopping complex. We arrived just before 18:00 and check-in was quickly taken car of by Mr. Ebrahim, the front office manager. Lobby area is the whole ground floor with reception on one side and the bar/lounge on the other. Between these two spaces is the entrance to the Premium Lounge situated behind the reception area. This just reopened about 3 weeks ago so we went to check it out before going to the room, as the evening cocktail was on. We were well taken care of by the inimitable Jamil and his assistance, Feroz, later joined by Nadia.
For the hotel category, there is a selection of red and white wines, beers, cocktails and mocktails (happy to mix to your request), fruit juices, aerated drinks and the coffees and teas. The offering of food though not large was quite good, with hot items, cold cuts, cheeses, salads and sweets. On quality and taste it can hold its own. The bite-sized cakes are very good; the (bite-size) pavlova was exceptional.
Our room was quite a comfortable size and appears to have been recently renovated, with basic necessities for amenities, in the aftermath of the recent pandemic with noticeable absence of the usual bathrobes, though not an issue as we always pack pajamas.
Food Exchange on the first floor is the dining outlet, which also doubles as the breakfast venue. Menu is casual dining with a small selection. Taste and quality is quite good in our opinion. For guests with access have to the Premium Lounge, it is an alternative venue for breakfast, albeit with lesser spread on offer.
Staff are friendly and helpful and management personnel are quite noticeable and approachable, from the General Manager, Asst Front Office Manager, Food and Beverage Manager. Keep it up as we had an enjoyable stay.

Newly furbished rooms in a very good location.

I was actually a little disappointed with this hotel. I felt it was more like a 3 star than a 4 star.

I was staying with 2 other friends who had separated rooms and reservations. We arrived at 13:30 after a 20 hour flight only to be told there are no rooms with double beds even though this is what we had booked. We were happy to be on different floors but were told only room available are with 2 single beds. When asked how long we would have to wait  as check in was at 2pm we were told maybe 2 hours or more depending on the cleaning. Interesting initially my friend was told he can have a double room if he is happy to be on another floor but the gentleman checking me in intervened ( whist he was checking me in) to state only the single  beds rooms are available. This is really poor as a 4 star hotel should have rooms for check in time. I even requested an early check in even though we arrived at the hotel at 13:30.

The room itself is clean and they have all been refurbished recently. Although it's a shame the carpet looks old. I was very surprised to learn that this 4 star hotel does not provide an iron. They only provide an iron on requested but you must return it as soon as you have finished using it. Most 3 star have irons as standard. It does have air conditioning unit.  The hotel does not provide hand towels as standard and only bath towels.

The breakfast was a little disappointing if you are vegetarian but there are certainly some options available. The only Indian breakfast time they have is paratha. Although I wouldn't expect a full Indian breakfast but it would be appreciated.

The only reasons I would return to this hotel is because of the location and newly furbished rooms. It is certainly not novotel usual standard of both facilities, breakfast and customer service.

Overall I would not advise to avoid staying here as the location is good and the rooms are decent, but just don't expect it to be like a normal 4 star Novotel standard

Fantastic experience from check in to check out. AC in the Jnr Suite on the 28th floor was very comfortable as was the water pressure. Had the usual amenities. Buffet breakfast on 1st floor had a wide variety to choose from and also tried the breakfast at the premium lounge on the G floor. Food selection was a bit less but the atmosphere and extra service made it very memorable. As Accor member I had some lovely cake/icre cream things waiting in the room. Also worthy mention was the 5-7pm cocktail hour at the premium lounge, turned out to be a full on meal with meatballs, shepherds pie, salad pasta and wee cakes. 10/10

The experience at this establishment was remarkable, thanks to the excellent staff who were attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Its perfect location beside Pavilion Mall offers numerous shopping and dining options, while being just a 10-minute drive to KLCC makes exploring the city easy.

Cleanliness is a priority here, and the hotel was spotless, contributing to a comfortable environment. A highlight of our stay was breakfast, where the talented staff members, Junad and Miyad, prepared delicious Teh Tarik for us, adding a delightful touch.

The breakfast selections were varied and catered to different tastes, featuring both local and international favorites. Overall, our experience was excellent, and we would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Very disappointed with the hotel on a few issues. Firstly, the hotel is reasonably pleasant and the room nice. Although while many lights in the room, they were all a bit too dim and insufficient for reading anything but an electronic device.

There is no information in the room of any great benefit to a new visitor. Limited information on the TV monitor especially when looking at the “around the hotel” page. Listed a couple of buildings but no map or similar.

I was told nothing about breakfast until I asked reception, with no menu or options explained. When I arrived for breakfast (was not included in my price bought via membership on the Accor site) so I agreed to pay and I asked what the dining arrangement was. I was told a buffet. While in the middle of serving myself the receptionist came and said I needed to pay because I had left no deposit when booking in.

Firstly, I did the normal and gave my credit card at check in, secondly this was totally unprofessional for an hotel of this type. A guest should not be subjected to this treatment, I felt a little embarrassed and I was not happy.

The tables were not cleared quickly enough (although the waitress was working hard throughout the time I was there) so I had to get a small table with seats that are totally unsuitable for eating with. Comfortable to watch TV but too low and you can’t sit close enough to the table to eat properly.

The buffet was underwhelming for any price and lacklustre. I resent paying 58 ringgit for cold eggs, cold potatoes (called roasted but more like just boiled), no bacon (although that might be a religious thing), the Malay choices were also cold and the redang was dry and uninspiring. Juices were on ice but not cold, pastries dry, just very poor. At least the coffee was good but it was out of a machine.

My first time to Malaysia and it has not started with a good impression, even the 7-11 across the road doesn’t have any decent options lol.

My next 2 stays are in smaller boutique style places in Melaka and George Town, I hope they are a better experience. I have one more night here and wish I didn’t to be honest. I use Accor hotels regularly and usually have no complaints. Because of that I will probably use them again but not this property if I ever came back.

We been staying at Novotel KLCC lately, and it has been a delightful experience. We were generously upgraded to the Suite at the Premier Floor, namely rooms 2705 and 2305 in last 2 staycations.

1. Room: The room is impressively spacious and has been beautifully renovated post-pandemic.

2. Drinking Water: I appreciate their commitment to ESG initiatives; they've installed water filters in all rooms.

3. Premium Lounge: Located on the ground floor, it's a cozy and inviting lounge. Operating hours are from 0630 to 2000.

4. Evening Cocktails: From 1730 to 1900, they offer a selection of food and alcoholic drinks, including wine, beer, and two simple cocktails.

5. Breakfast: Served on Level 1, the breakfast has significantly improved since the pre-pandemic days. The selection is extensive. You also have the option to enjoy breakfast in the Premier Lounge for a quieter and more exclusive dining experience.

I would like to extend a special thank you to Feroz and Jamil for their exceptional service during the evening cocktail and breakfast sessions. Their professionalism made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended!

Attending us was Mr Miyad for our hi tea. Me and my friend are very pleased with the services.

Maybe consider adding mixed nuts to the spread.

Plain water should be placed wehre it is accessible to the guests without having to ask the staff for it.

The hotel front desk doesn’t know how to smile or greet guests amicably. We have been allotted room number 801. The health faucet was leaking in the bathroom. We requested for a higher floor and the front desk repeatedly turned down the request stating that all rooms of executive category are full. When we requested to accommodate us on any of the subsequent days they didn’t even bother to check and just said that all rooms are full. I won’t be staying at this property again. Poor customer service

Another return visit to Kuala Lumpur for a mix of work and leisure, this time returning to the Novotel KLCC for its location, facilities and friendly staff experience we were treated to in previous stays. Arriving late morning we were greeted (and welcomed) by Ms. Murgesh who was lending her support to the staff at the reception area; check-in was quickly taken care of. As the room was in the process of being readied, we headed to the Premium Lounge for refreshments, and as it was getting close to lunch we headed. Returning, we were handed the access keycards. The upgraded room was spacious, with a different layout to fit the corner room shape. Coming down to the evening cocktail at the Premium Lounge we noted that the staff were new and many having just started, Feroz, who normally man the lobby bar being the only one from the previous team. However, they were enthusiastic, service minded and conducted themselves with decorum. Keep up the good work Miyad (the longest of all the new hires who help the newer members), Ismail and just reassigned from the front desk, Sahida and Kenneth. Hot food items offerings have increased, so is the bigger selection of dessert and cakes many are new and delicious, augmenting the previous, a result of the recent hire of the new bakery chef. We have a choice of venues for breakfast, either in the main restaurant on the first floor or in the quieter Premium Lounge downstairs, which have a smaller selection, but has an egg station and anything one fancies from the main restaurant is available on request, e.g. roti canai and the tarik. We use the ground floor venue as it is quieter and relaxing, some days taking a stroll through the main area to see if there were anything we like, on our way downstairs. The food offer and presentation in the Premium Lounge is adequate in selection and good in taste. During breakfast and the evening cocktail sessions the F&B management team of Mr. Maram and his assistants, Messrs. Nakim and Raj and also the front office managers Mr. Adit and Ms Reena regularly come through to ensure the smooth operation.
A couple of minor downsides encounter this stay; the room allocated on check in had an awkward position for the toilet bowl due to the corner room shape making the use a little inconvenient and was sorted out by move to another room. The second was the “new room” had a strong cooking smell perpetrating into the room; thankfully, eventually rectified by the engineering/maintenance team under the persistence of Mr. Adit.
On the day we checked out, the late check out was appreciated as we had a night flight. We enjoyed our 6 day stay and the hotel’s hospitality this occasion, and no doubt will return next time we come to KL.
