Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Positive note: The place is nearby to everything! Strategic location. Only 3 mins walk to the KLCC. Convenient store is just at the ground floor of this hotel. View is not bad too, if the one facing KLCC tower. I'm staying on the 11th floor and can get a good sleep. The toilet is huge for this kind of hotel standard. The manager of the hotel and the night shift team on the 18th August 2020 was very helpful and understanding. After my bad experience, they offer to extend my check out until 7pm, but we had left early.
Negative note: From the lower ground parking, there is no elevator to the ground floor. What you can do is to drop off your luggages at the entrance and then park your car. The hallway leading to our room has a musty smell and dark. Our room has THAT smell as well, so we ended buying an air freshener. Parking terms was confusing. They say they would validate my touch n go but end up I paid rm10. They did refunded Rm5, but they said they don't know why my card is charged and they need to talk to the parking company.
Again, I would like to comment that the manager was very helpful.
Check-in: We had a bad experience upon checking in on 18th August 2020. It was unwelcoming, rude receptionist and unprofessional. To the extent when she had realised her mistake and her apology was not sincere. Even her colleague beside her felt embarrassed for her. Worse still she I ly gave one room key whereas she's supposed to give two. Her reason was we didn't ask for it.

The hotel room is spacious, clean and cozy. At first we couldn't believe how affordable this hotel in such strategic location, they are just less than 5 minutes away from twin tower and other shopping complex. And the water bed is superb! We had a good time in kuala lumpur

Stayed at this hotel for four night. The location is perfect, just a few minutes from infamous twin tower KLCC. The LRT is just less than one minutes walk. This hotel used to be Le Apple (the towel still has the previous hotel name). Due to the location at Jalan, Ampang, a huge and busy road at KL you will expect the traffic noise until midnight. The room didn't have noise insulation although they are two layer of thin glass. The lobby is small, but have some chairs to sit on. Just beside the lobby is 7-Eleven which was really good. A welcome drink was served at a Japanese Restaurant at the left side of lobby. Three lifts in the lobby and quite fast. Rooms are huge but have a dull feeling. Inside that huge room there are a safety box that doesn't charge at all (the battery is off for age). Free tea and coffee with two bottles of drinking water are replenished every morning. A small fridge which is not cold at all. The bathroom is small with standing shower. The water power is great, but hot water comes quite slow. All toilet amenities are provided including toothbrush. Air condition is good and can self controlled the temperature. The only downside is the cleanliness of the room and traffic noise. Probably will return back due to the central location with great room rate.

Highly recommended this hotel if you are looking for a family friendly hotel, KLCC shopping mall is just 5 minutes walking distance. Very strategic location for my family and I. Cleanliness wise, acceptable. I didn't expect boutique hotel to have mini bar and they have 7-eleven as well.
I booked via their hotel app, is much cheaper and I get RM20 discount.

This is my 3rd time here, which was previously known as Le Apple Hotel.
The main reason I chose this hotel is mainly due to the strategic location of AK and KLCC. Since it is placed by the roadside, do not expect a quiet night sleep.
The room is basic but it is totally fine with me since I have not planned to spend most of our time during our stay in the room.
Heads-up : The parking is really limited & if you could find a spot during peak hours, you are totally lucky and able to enjoy the flat rate parking at RM 5. However, there are few public or private parking nearby.
F&B : No issue as u can dine in at AK or KLCC, and at Ground Floor : Sup Haji Abu, durian stall in front of the main entrance & 24hrs convenience store.
During night time, you could visit Tapak Urban Food truck (just nearby) and enjoy lots of food varieties (price : mid-range to expensive)

I had on September 2022 booked direct on the deKing Boutique Hotel website a four night stay (16/1 - 20/1) @ $125/night.Upon arrival I was told I had no booking with them despite showing them the confirmed email reservation with Booking Number. I was told it could be their IT issue as has happened with others before. I was told that as per their Terms and Conditions I was required to have followed up with a phone call despite being an overseas customer and after having received the confirmed reservation. Furthermore I could not find it anywhere in their Terms and Conditions. I was told to rebook again at current rate of $220/night. I am alarmed that despite it having could be due to their own internal operational issues, customers have to bear the cost and they are not honouring original lower booked price.

We stayed for 2 night in this hotel. Hotel is strategically located just 5 mins walk to the famous klcc and next to avenue K shopping mall. The best thing is that there is a 7-11 at the ground floor which makes it easier to get any urgent or last min needs. Hotel staff is friendly, rooms are reasonably spacious and has a quiet ambience. Bedsheets are clean and a/c is good. Overall this is one of the come-back to list whenver i go back KL. Recommended!

For those of you looking for a hotel at a fairly affordable price but located in the center of Kuala Lumpur, De King Hotel is the answer. Downstairs there is Circle K, there is Nasi Kandar and Soup Haji Abu (quite a large menu). There is also a stall selling Musang King durian which is expensive but delicious. It's only a minute to KLCC, opposite to the right is Avenue K, opposite to the front is Starbucks Reserve, then to Petronas Twin Tower only two minutes to five minutes depending on whether you go fast or slow.
