Thé hôtel was very cute. It is showing a bit of wear and tear. Our hotel room needed some maintenance. We had a stained and lopsided lamp in our room and things were also scuffed and marked. The best thing about this hotel is The Swimming Club. It has a fun and cool vibe and has good views over the city. The staff Haslinah and Razman were lovely and helpful attendants at The Swimming Club. The hotel is in a great location close to shopping at The Pavillion and Lot 10. Also close to so many places to eat and get a foot massage.

location is good, close to restaurants and about 20 mins walk to the towers. Rooms were a good size with a decent shower and free toiletries. The staff were always helpful and friendly. I had a the breakfast on 1 occasion not a bad price for the buffet but average options to eat. The pool area is nice with free towels, although I found myself chasing the sun in the afternoon. Would recommend to stay.

We stayed there for four nights and we were happy with our choice. The location is probably its strongest point since there’s plenty of restaurants, shops, cafes around and anything else you might need. It’s even in walkable distance from many sights, as Jalan Alor and the Petronas Towers. The rooms are okay, even though they definitely need some renovations in the furniture, and mostly the common areas and the corridors. The very comfy bed is a plus, just like the shower. Also, we got a room with a nice partial view on the towers. The pool on the 11th floor is good for a refreshing swim in the hot days. All in all, we would go back if in KL!

The hotel is in a great location but unfortunately we had a few issues with our room. We had to speak to the front desk on 3 occasions because our bar fridge wasn't working properly. The handle on our shower had to be looked at twice because it kept falling off. The curtains wouldn't close properly letting a lot of light through in the mornings. The television reception was woeful and with no international channels. Even Netflix stopped working. The toilet wouldn't flush properly. On a better note the pool was pretty good but a lot of loud music became annoying after a while. The best part was the staff running the buffet breakfast. They were polite and attentive which was appreciated. Totally understand that these places are getting back on their feet after covid but our room was disappointing.

Staying here at the moment on our 8th of eight nights. We simply cannot fault this hotel. Beds are comfortable, room and bathroom are clean, staff friendly and helpful. There is a decent amount of breakfast food available in the buffet each morning. The rooftop bar and pool are all that you could ask for with Happy Hour drinks daily. The Journal does not advertise itself as 5 star, so don't expect 5 star. Some people may consider it to be rough around the edges, but compared to other places you could stay at much higher prices, I would recommend this place to anybody without hesitation. Great value and great location.

Hotel room was clean and spacious for the price paid and perfect for our 3 night stay, could have done with a bit more clothes hanging space but we managed ok. Shower worked well was big and water was hot. Breakfast was again ok but could have done with a bit more choice of western food although we was good with jam toast and coffee. Roof top pool was quite small and busy but it’s a nice setting and has a bar and nice decor. Located in a nice spot a few minutes walk to lot 10 and the pavilion and again only a few minutes from the food street of jalon alor and the lively bars. They were filming something while we was there a tv show or film or advertisement which was fun to watch and maybe I’ll be on tv 😂 would definitely recommend and stay there again

Malaysia was stop #4 through Southeast Asia, the location of this hotel was great (close to malls, plenty of food options and public transportation). We arrived to the hotel rather late (flight was delayed) upon our arrival there was nobody to assist us with the luggage (there was a male and female at the reception desk). I was traveling with my mom and a friend both above 65 years old) luckily our driver assisted us with these pieces. When I checked in it felt as though I had to be the one asking the questions relevant to our stay (breakfast time, checkout time, etc). We were given our room key and we headed up. The rooms were a decent size but unfortunately cleanliness was not top priority. We were attempting to watch TV (no English channels available and connection to what you can watch is pretty bad). We thought cables were misplaced but in trying to fix this situation that’s when we realized the amount of dust in the room. We settled for watching Netflix to avoid the tv lag. The bathroom is spacious but if we want to leave a nightlight on you’ll see it in the room because of the frosted window in bathroom (not good for light sleepers). I must say the staff during the breakfast buffet definitely showed high customer service and made sure our needs were met. The food variety was good but for some reason food was not hot (more like room temperature).

Shan at front desk tried his best to accommodate my requests for our 6 nights stay. Thank you Shan! Hotel lobby looks lux but when you go up and exit the elevator, hallway carpet looks like it need a cleaning with stains. Room is very spacious. It has a long working desk that both persons can comfortably sit and work together and floor to ceiling windows. King bed/ pillows are comfortable. Washroom is big with lots of counter space, strong water pressure, with good quality toiletries but towels look dated. Free water, 2 free juice in fridge, slippers in room each day. The thing which most bothered me is thin walls. Lots of noise next door, I can even hear the plug into something onto the wall. If there are kids next door, forget about sleeping in. There is gym, cute pool (lower scale infinity pool), bar on 11th floor which has a nice night view but closes at 8pm. They have buy 1 get 1 free cocktail until 8pm too. And same comment with the other reviews. Breakfast buffet was decent with good coffee. They did not allow people to eat in tables in lobby but they also don't have dinner service??! No english in all TV channels and there was big lag. Location wise very good, 3 min walk to Lot 10 mall, Sungei Wing Plaza, Pavilion, plenty food places and MRT station all within walking distance. In general the stay was not bad, good value for money.
