Detailed Reviews
This hotel is conveniently located 5 minutes away from a street full of bars and restaurants where you can enjoy food and drinks at a reasonable price. If you walk 12 minutes from the hotel, you will find yourself in Pavilion Shopping Centre.
The rooms are comforable and nig (they have a desk in them). The shower is very big and the barhroom has every facility that you need, except the hair dryer, which is in the wardrobe together with the iron.
The breakfast is varied and it has an omelette station.

The hotel was in a good location close to Changkat Bukit Bintang entertainment area and lots of restaurants and bars. Hotel is looking a bit tired and could do with some deep cleaning. The carpet in our rooms and corridors on level 10 was filthy. The television only has 8 channels. Not that we were there to watch tv but a decent western news channel should be standard. The pool is not roof top but on level 6 and was undergoing deck maintenance while we were there so made it noisy during construction. Breakfast had a good variety of choices and was included in room rate. The walk-in shower had both a handheld showerhead and a rainfall. As soon as you turned it on it hit you in the face or soaked the whole bathroom floor because there is no screen door on shower. Poor design. The shuttle bus was broken down and not operating even though it’s advertised on the website. For the price we paid it was ok but not a 4 star hotel.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed upon arrival. Despite 4 staff hanging around the lobby, there was no one there to assist with luggage, nor help with luggage to our room.
Upon exiting the lift to our floor, the carpets were filthy, so we were worried about what to expect in our room.
The room beds were nice and looked clean however the room set out seemed like it was half finished, we could not find any power points in the bathroom to plug a blow dryer in, and there were only two universal points and one of them was hidden, so I really had to search for it, with 4 family members we were all juggling between two power points. My children also reported that the WIFI was very slow.
The bathroom set up was odd, and I sat on the toilet sidewards so that I could reach the toilet paper. The safety deposit box was tiny, my husband could not put his laptop in there, and as we were in a room right near the lift, we felt like we needed to lock our expensive items away.
But the most notable disappointment for us was the pool, or the green pool. We rocked up expecting to see a nice pool to swim in, however upon arrival the pool was green, and some maintenance people had pulled up some of the decking, this green pool had not happened over night to look like this, and it is unfair that as paying customers we were not informed that the pool was being renovated, of indeed this was the case, as we certainly would not have to booked the hotel, and also when we went to the pool area there was a staff meeting happening, and we felt very uncomfortable.
Overall, the beds in the room were comfortable, it was a good size room for my family for a 1-night stay, however given the absence of a pool, and minimal guest services, I would not stay any longer. It just did not feel very welcoming. This hotel wasn't for us, but it might suit some for the location and affordability.

Verdant Hill Hotel a total disaster for me at list staring the new Century. I just arrived 31st December to gear up for my new year the reception staff they there face tells you they don't work there I was given 8 floor pretty much she dismissed me as looks like a charity hotel when i arrived my room the old carpets stink I called and report they change me 18 floor it is not about the room change the carpets the same situation crying for for a change. Night comes the air con isn't working I sweat like sauna calld been told 15 minutes already 45 minutes past I just called again what New year to start this situation. The breakfast it is allover no organizatio they didn't figure it out what is the best for customers. I think in my observation the hotel manages absolutely no ideas the hospitality industry. The only things good thing come out these hotel the location it is the middle everything I have been staying a week ago The Traders hotel what a beautiful hotel I think the management heading there to get a good staff experience I will never recommend these hotel those reasons.

First of all i would like to write that the only good thing about this hotel is its location, u can walk to practically all malls and streets if you are up for it.
Service is really bad, it doesn’t even deserve 1 star. When i asked for extra towels the housekeeping said that the towels will be given only after 10 am as there is no staff and the person on the phone said that they had already kept 2 towels at the time of check-in so that means a person staying cannot take bath twice.
Also they have some pathetic policy on complimentary water bottles. They give only 2 a day. I wasn’t aware about the same so i called and asked for another 2 water bottles. The person said that i need to pay 5 ringgits and i was ok with that but he starts that you have to go down pay at the reception and take the bottle from there.
Also on arrival there was no one to carry our bags and we had to carry our own bags till the room as there is only one staff and he had gone for a break. This hotel doesnt deserve even 2 stars for its service, RUDE STAFF and Needs real hiring and a look into the management.

We had 2 visits totalling 7 nights here. The location was perfect and most local attractions were walkable including the towers, central market, petaling st and Jalan alor etc.
We had a triple room both times on different floors, same layout with a double and single bed. The room was spacious with a good size shower room and powerful shower with lots of complimentary toiletries for all your needs. The beds were fairly firm but comfortable enough. The only problem was the noisy water system and thin walls we could hear the neighbours and their water running at all hours. The lifts were very efficient.
The breakfast was great but always felt a bit chaotic in the seating area due to the sheer numbers of people coming and going. Plenty of choices including freshly cooked eggs, local options changing daily, croissants, pancakes, yoghurt, fruit, cakes, cereal and juices.
This hotel had the benefit of a lovely swimming pool to cool off in or relax by in the morning sun. Pool towels were provided. They only have 5 sunbeds but space for more, on some days it was very busy so it would be good to have some additional sunbeds.
The staff were very welcoming always smiling, friendly and willing to help. They assisted with our luggage, booking us a grab, printing our flight passes nothing was too much trouble. They also provided umbrellas free for use.
We highly recommend and would return.

Stayed in room 1205 with a double queen bed configuration. Average quality but is definitely not 5 star standard. At most 4 star.
The good:
(1) free parking provided onsite
(2) wifi is decent for 1 connection
(3) room is super big and super spacious for a family of 4.
(4) rain shower
(5) the location is decently near to Jalan Alor food area but far from Chinatown petaling jaya.
The bad:
(1) looks dated, even the gym looks a bit old and dated and the gym and corridor lights looked dark like they needed maintenance especially the gym level.
(2) the things in the room looks old… my toothpaste given has also hardened like a rock. The shower foam looks cheap like a hand soap.
(3) I wouldn’t use the pool also, looks dilapidated.
(4) the towel has a weird smell
(5) the hotel slippers has some yellow spots already
I think the hotel needs to be refreshed. Maybe time for a renovation.

We stayed here for 4 nights on our trip to Kuala Lumpur and were pleasantly surprised. We took the train from the airport, the nearest stop to the hotel was Bukit Bingtang which is about 10 minutes walk away.
We arrived at the hotel early as we had a very early flight. As our room wasn't quite ready they offered us an area to wait in and they came and found us when our room was available.
The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was a good size and the pillows were the best we've ever slept on. We would get some of them for our house if we knew the brand!
The breakfast was delicious and there was a great choice. It got very busy later in the morning, but we got down there early on one of the days and it was much quieter. I did find a piece of raw onion in one of the pancakes on our first morning which was a little disappointing.
The hotel is about 5 minutes walk to Jalan Alor, which has lots of bars and food places. The Menara viewpoint is also a short distance away.
Very good all round hotel, definitely good for the bar scene.

This hotel is in a convenient location off Changkat Bukit Bintang (lots of bars) and Jalan Alor (lots of restaurants). There is a new building going up across the road but the little bit of noise was during the day and not too much. The reception staff always acknowledged me going past which was nice. Do try and get breakfast included as it is fantastic (lots of seats, lots of variety, good quality). The only thing they could improve on is housekeeping. I’d put my housekeeping light on at 9.30am and come back at 2.30pm and it still wasn’t done. One time I saw them doing the room next to mine so I went and sat in the lobby for 30 minutes and when I came back housekeeping was gone and my room still wasn’t done. I found housekeeping likes to come around 4pm which is really inconvenient if you’ve been out all day and want to freshen up or have a nap before dinner.

We arrived here after a Turing morning travelling and was able to check in early which is a massive plus point!
The room was nice, spacious and clean and it is in a really good location - you can walk anywhere from this hotel or taxis are cheap.
The breakfast was quite good, it is mainly Asian food but the egg station was good and a good choice of cereal.
It is good value for money and the staff are lovely and really friendly (especially the young man on the door), I would 100% recommend staying here.
