Had brunch there with friends! The food, service, and views were amazing. Have been dining there for decades. Have seen many many changes. The all have been good. Do miss the tree in the dining room. It was taken by the fire. The new lodge is very warm and cozy any season. 💟

Thank you Linda :-) The Lodge "has" seen many changes over it's 70 years but the one thing we appreciate the most is those guest who keep coming back! Thank you for the kind words and recommendation of the Lodge - we hope to see again!

My husband and I discovered this lodge in 2009 and decided to stay for 2 nights because we liked it so much. We attended plays at the Shakespeare theatre in town both nights. All went well until the 2nd night, upon our return to the hotel we found that we were locked out! No one was at the desk or...

We arrived at the property 2 hours before c/i and were greeted with "your early" your room won't be ready yet. I said ok but could we drop off our two bikes. The fellow said I'm not sure where we could put them. There was a very large empty room next to the office I said would do just fine....

I am sorry you were disappointed in last stay. We still serve breakfast with house-made muffins and other treats - complimentary. Fruit is served when it is in season. We are a famous and a depended upon PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) hiker destination. Being less than a 1/4 mile from the PCT Trail - we also offer our hiker guests...

My hubby and I having been taking our elderly uncle and aunt to the Oregon coast for their yearly vacation (every November) for the past 6 years or more. It is too far for them to drive to the Oregon coast then back to Shasta county so we are more than happy to drive them. Each year we plan our...

I am very sorry hear that you will not be continuing your tradition of staying at Callahan's Lodge. We value all our guests and their choice to join us. It is very difficult to hear that our long standing and fair cancellation policy, not our accommodations, will be the reason. It would be unfair to all our guest if we...

We booked Callahan's for our daughter's wedding venue. We had the ceremony there as well as the reception. The owners and staff did a fantastic job catering to our every need, making the day perfect (even finding us some rice to throw at the end of our event because we had a mishap!) The food was great and the grounds...

this place was GREAT except two things. I was NOT aware of the fact that campers are allowed to put up a tent anywhere they like on the grass and sleep there. I requested for a ground floor room because carrying a heavy suitcase by myself with my 3 month old infant. Room was cozy and cute, but when I...

First off, thank you for saying that Callahan's was great! For future consideration, we have luggage carts on the premise which would alleviate the need to carry a heavy suitcase traversing the lodge including the use of an elevator. We are also a cornerstone destination for the hikers embarking on the Pacific Crest Trail which starts in Mexico and continues...

My wife and I spent one night at Callahan's. We stayed in Room 37(3rd Floor) and were very happy with our stay. Price is reasonable and includes a 25$ voucher for breakfast. We enjoyed the in room jetted tub, and the wood burning fireplace. The nightly guitar music makes dining very pleasant, or you can sit by the fireplace and...

Took my wife there recently for her Birthday. We immediately felt very welcome and comfortable. Rooms was big and cozy with a shared deck to view the mountains and a beautiful sunrise. Dinner was great. We had salmon eggs benedict for breakfast! Highly recommend for a special getaway!

Last year, we went to the sumptuous buffet that was offered so expected the same this year. The "Feast" that was offered was brought on a plate--sans dinner roll and dessert--nor did we have hors doeuvres. The ham and turkey were good but I was disappointed with the treatment of green beans, yams and stuffing. Plenty to eat; and also...

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad that you had plenty to eat and that the ham and turkey were good. “Definitely choose the third or fourth floors.”
  • Wood burning fireplace with nice supply of wood. If you run out there is more in the hall way.
  • Clean and well furnished.
  • Jetted tub in room. Nice and cozy.
