I expected the rooms to be nicer based on the other reviews I had read. We were in room 33 so that is the only one 1 saw but it was in need of an upgrade and paint. The staff was very nice and the place was kept clean. Breakfast was sufficient for us. Water pressure in the shower was...

This is the BEST motor inn we've ever had the pleasure of staying in-- and that's saying a lot since we road trip so often. The staff is the nicest group of people we've encountered in a long time. We were running late, and, forgetting that we weren't traveling to a big chain hotel with round the clock front dest...

My husband, French Bulldog pup and I stayed here in room 34 for 12/30 and 12/31/2016 to explore the areas nearby. We really enjoyed our stay. From the welcome note, to the incredible hospitality by all the staff, I felt so comfortable there. It was nice to get breakfast and coffee and sit out in the back area near the...

My husband and I spent two nights at the Maverick Inn in Alpine, Texas December 23rd and 24th. We really enjoyed our stay. While small, the room was clean and comfortable. There were only a couple of minor negatives (and it was really no big deal). The ice machine wasn't working and the train came through a couple of times...

This little motel in Alpine helped make our trip to West Texas absolutely perfect! We had the Superior King with Garden Tub over Christmas. The room was clean, renovated, well decorated, had soft and huge towels and nice linens, and the new tub (apparently put in very recently) was awesome. The staff was great, too. This place is dog friendly...

My husband and I have stayed here for years, winter, spring, summer and fall, and we love it and always feel welcomed. Every room is a bit different and we love them all. Not big but comfy and a bit funky.

super cute place, not cookie cutter - whoever's taking care of this place is obviously putting A LOT OF TIME into the details, from the different softness pillows to the organic soaps to the overall spotlessness of it - definite A+ for decor, this isn't just some "cute, rustic" hotel like some renovations I've stayed in, they're really working to...

Had stayed here before a number of years ago. It is a very charming little place with a Texas country flair and the staff is very helpful in making recommendations and providing information. Alpine is a charming little town. Spent some time at Sul Ross State University. Visited the Big Bend Museum which was excellent.
