The hotel was in a great location in Austin. However, the hotel was very mediocre for $300/night plus taxes. The amenities weren't great. You are definitely paying for location, not the facility, which is outdated. The lights is the bathroom weren't reliable and there was a stale smell in the air. Additionally, it is valet parking only and the charge...

This La Quinta is in a great location - downtown next to the Capitol. The staff is great and the rooms are clean. My one complaint is the noise level - it can be very noisy!! It is great, I guess, if you are on vacation; not exactly great if you are business and would really like to sleep.

This hotel location was great! Walking distance from 6th Street and the State Capitol. When we arrived we were greeted by nice hotel staff and check in was fast and easy. Valet parking was $17 which wasn't bad at all. Our room was nice, had a not so fresh odor but overall it was comfortable and air conditioning was perfect!...

The front desk staff were great. The room was clean. The size of the bathroom was very small. The only parking available was valet at over $18.00 a night. TripAdvisor is really anal for requiring a 200 work review and then not even giving you a word count as you type.

Some friends and I stayed at this hotel as part of a festival that was going on in May 2015. When we arrived, we asked if there was a room with two beds and a pull out sofa. There were none, but we were upgraded to a bigger room (handicapped room). The room itself was very clean and roomy. We...

The pillows are all hard and the mattress is not great. The facility is pretty old and it shows. The air conditioning seems to be regulated when you leave, which is cool, but it doesn't need to be that hot when you return. The breakfast is wanting of something decent to eat. You can grab and orange or a banana...

After reading the reviews, I was nearly scared to go here, but it's where I was placed for a business meeting. The hotel is dated for sure, looks sketchy and rough, but that was strictly appearance! The rooms were clean, but noisy. Maybe because the rooms are all exterior. I slept like a baby, the room was clean, met our...

This is on case where I did not get what I paid for. I was quite disappointed by the breakfast and hotel offerings. At least there was wifi and TV. The exterior is bland and the hallways and elevator can use an uplift. The staff is friendly and helpful tho.

La Quinta offer a decent room and a good rate most everywhere and this location across the street from the capital and 10 minutes walk from the action on 6th street fits. We were able to walk most everywhere and lets face it, you don't go to Austin to sit in your room. We had a great comfortable refuge to...
