We stayed three nights in the hotel and were delighted with the friendly, efficient staff. Even though we arrived past midnight, we were warmly greeted and given free bottles of water. The beds were comfortable and there was a great breakfast spread each morning the included two types of eggs, bacon, fresh waffles, bagels, yogurt, cereal, and fruit. Elizabeth Farrow,...

I had a great stay! I was delayed because of bad weather in Houston and didn't check-in till close to or after midnight. It was nice to be greeted by the friendly smile of Mara after the long drive! She was awesome, friendly and checked me in right away! Nice to have that after a the long trip. The room...

We appreciate you picking the Fairfield Inn Austin University as a place to stay. We are delighted that we exceeded your expectations

We stayed at this Fairfield Inn because it was within 10 miles of downtown Austin and the room rate was half the price of downtown hotels. We found the place friendly and convenient. It could use some new carpeting in the hallways and elevator. Very close to I-35 and other local roads.

I travel a lot for business. Stayed here with points over a long weekend with my daughter for a visit to U of T. Hotels closer to the campus were booked or too many points for me. This one was not convenient to the camp ( although it's called University). Rooms were a little dirty. Toilet didn't flush. I told...

I apologize and understand your disappoint with the lake of detail to the rooms. I will review your comments with the staff to improve and correct these issues.

I have to agree with the last reviewer that the rooms had a very odd smell. I couldn't tell if they were trying to cover up a smoking smell or possibly they need to update their cleaning supplies. The location was close to where a colleague and I had to work but definitely would not recommend for general use. The...

Thank you for your review of our hotel. During SXSW we have had issues with guest smoking the rooms. We are a non-smoking hotel and will continue to try to eliminate smoking issues to the best of our abilities.

Do yourself a favor, don't book here. I am normally a fan of the Marriott and I booked various levels of Marriott chains everywhere around the world. This has been a very odd experience. My room smells so much like smoke that I am getting sick and nauseated from over exposure. That's after opening the windows for 3 days all...

We apologize for many issues you had. I understand the frustration one would have when you do not get the service that you pay for or deserve. We are unable to do anything about the city being sold out or the migration of birds, but we did reach out to you and offered to reimburse you for your entire stay...

Your welcome for the tip and stay in this area for best commute to downtown. It wasn't a big room but all the comfort of home and the amenities are very nice. Happy customer and will be staying here again as well as family when I give my suggestion.

Good location. Only a few minutes away from downtown by cab. The room was nice and clean, but had a musty smell. Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly, but I wish they had known more about what to do in the city. They have a small gym with a treadmill - nothing special though.

This visit didn't start well because Marriott presented this room as an option for a family of four (2 teenage kids). We stayed in the executive king suite - sounds nice and spacious, right? It isn't! Smallish room (faux-suite, not separate bedroom) with a king bed and a twin pullout couch. With 2 in the king and 1 on the...

Stayed here while attending a football game at UT and will not be staying here again. The check-in process was smooth and I received a hand written welcome letter for being a Marriott rewards member which was a nice touch. However the rooms are a different story. Upon arrival to our room there was a spider sitting on our bed,...

I truly apologize for your experience. It looks like you were checked into an out of order room by mistake.
