Read about this "haunted" hotel online and had to go there. The architecture and all the marble are beautiful. The cocktail lounge is cozy and all were friendly except for the bartender who was more interested in flirting with the young girls that getting our drinks. Room outstanding with the high vaulted ceiling. The 1886 café best breakfast I've had

We did not stay at the hotel. Close friends had their sons wedding reception at this famous hotel and we attended. It was beautiful and such a fun affair! It was such a pretty reception and the food was good. Balcony added even more ambience '

This is one of the iconic hotels in the U.S. right in the heart of Austin and its music and historic district. 6th street is right outside the hotel door. Unlike many historic hotels I've stayed at the room I had in the Driskill was not tiny. I loved the white noise machine on the night stand. Not so much...

When I arrived at the hotel I had been dreaming about staying at, first sight of it was beautiful! The lobby was gorgeous and elegant! When we got to our floor though, first sight off the elevator was an entry table with old food waiting to be picked up. The hallway was old and needed to be repainted. Pictures were...

Beautiful old property, and nice rooms. Visited on a busy week, where there were few options in hotels. Great value for money, and location. Would not recommend visiting the property's bar (upstairs from front desk). There are plenty options not too far from the hotel -- go, enjoy them instead.

This hotel is beautiful and full of history. The staff are friendly and welcoming. My room was in the historic part with high ceilings and ornate decorations.
