The historic Ira Allen House offers multi-bedroom suites and single rooms in the center of many great attractions in Southern Vermont. The inn was comfortable, clean and over the top in creating a friendly, warm inn experience for their guests. The inn was not only spectacular in terms of the care put into one of the best breakfasts we've ever...

We stayed at the Inn sight unseen to attend a wedding. While others were are more well known places, we decided to try this Inn. It was great and we will definitely go back. Mike and Kevin are great hosts. The rooms tastefully done. Homemade breakfast was excellent. Centrally located with great biking on quiet streets nearby.

My husband and I stayed one night in mid June. We chose the Ira Allen House because of the history. I thought it would be fun to stay in a house built by Ethan Allen. Arlington is about a 10 minute drive from the larger community of Manchester which is a nice place to go and shop or dine. Michael...

I have previously never stayed in a B&B, nor have I wanted to. The whole concept was intimidating to me and made me slightly uncomfortable. However, staying at The Ira Allen House for 4 days has completely changed my view. Michael and Kevin (the owners) are simply fantastic. They have a gift when it comes to making one feel as...

4 nights stay with my wife and 3 kids ended up being an amazing experience. The proprietors, Michael and Kevin, were fantastic hosts and are very knowledgable about the area. Food and entertainment was second to none! I felt rejuvenated each morning and awoke to amazing smells in the 216 year old house. I'm a history buff and Michael and...

From the moment we booked the Ira Allen House B&B for our stay for a wedding in Vermont, we were most impressed with the professional, courteous treatment we received. As we walked up onto the porch we were greeted by Kevin who was most hospitable and had cookies and beverages waiting for us. We stayed in a lovely room which...

Our first time here and look forward to returning. Cozy, yet spacious, warm, historic, lovely rooms. The most comfortable sitting areas. Toasty, mesmerizing fireplaces. Beautiful well kept grounds by the Battenkill with kayaks to enjoy. Delicious, well-planned and executed breakfasts. Watched the full moon rise over the mountains directly across from our window. Conveniently located for biking, hiking, fishing, dining....

Thank you Charlette and Joe for the fantastic review - we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We are not the fanciest inn in town, but we try hard to make our guests feel at home. Hope to see you again soon. Kevin and Michael

We had such a great time. This is our fourth stay. We plan to come back again soon. The guys are great. They make us feel welcome. They are very friendly and accomodating! These guys are awesome cooks; I have yet to have anything bad come from their kitchen. They are good to make food that accomodates your diets, food...

It was another lovely visit to the Ira Allen House, and great to see how wonderful the place is looking since our last trip there last year. Our room had some nice new updates to the bathroom including a beautiful new wooden floor which made taking a bath in the claw foot tub even better. But other things remain the...
