The Whitney House is located at the center of Arlington set back from Route 7a and screened by a row of substantial plantings. It is a lovely, turn of the last century home, with the woodwork and spacious public areas one expects from a quality home of that era.The bedrooms are more than adequate in size and well decorated. The...

A friend's wedding in nearby Cambridge caused my wife and I to travel to the Arlington area. The family provided a few options, but we decided on The Whitney House. We are very thankful we made that choice. We had an issue with our flight and were not expected to arrive until late at night. A phone call to Kerry,...

We stayed here last weekend to attend a family wedding. From the minute I called to make reservations to the moment we left Kerry was warm and welcoming. The tea/coffee tray at 7:00 am was wonderful. It included banana bread and coffee cake that Kerry baked. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated,...

I highly recommend The Whitney House if you are looking for a laid back visit to beautiful Arlington. The room was beautifully appointed and quaint and the breakfast was amazing. Honestly, I'm a food snob so I wasn't expecting for the breakfast but Terry came out with homemade lemon ricotta pancakes and bacon which were delicious. Terry is a great...

Everything was as advertised plus more. Terry is the best host ever and he does it by himself. Everything is clean and neat. All your reasonable needs are fulfilled . The pastry tray and coffee at your room is great and your breakfast is really really good as are the snacks. Spending the evening with Terry by the fire he...

My husband and I stayed at the Whitney House Inn two weekends ago. Terry is a wonderful host--super friendly and just a lovely man. Our room was beautiful and extreme attention was paid to every detail of our stay. I cannot recommend this bead and breakfast highly enough!

In central Arlington, but somewhat removed from Route 7A, this charming inn has a large porch for sitting/swinging, comfortable rooms and country decorations enhanced by beautiful needlework. The innkeepers Patricia and Kerry Meade are hospitable, full of suggestions about the area; Kerry makes outstanding breakfasts, Patricia creates the embroidery and needlepoint. This small inn has only four rooms; it appeals...

The food is fabulous and the service is outstanding. This is a truly lovely home with character and two people who genuinely love what they do. If we visit the area again, we'd be back here in a heartbeat.

We again travelled to Vermont for our biannual visit to this lovely state and again stayed at the Whitney House Inn. We have grown to love this fine Inn and its warm and caring innkeepers who we now consider best friends - Pat and Kerry Meade. This time we were met at the Inn by dear friends who travelled from...

Ive stayed at B&Bs all over the world and this is the best. It's a lovely house and all of the rooms are delightful. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful and different every day. Lots of parking. We received a very warm welcome from the couple that own and run the house. I would not hesitate to stay there again and strongly...
