Once again another wonderful stay at the Hotel Stebbins! The owner Christine is an excellent host and goes out of her way to offer a memorable stay. She put together a fabulous Valentines weekend package-including a couples massage and great food. The hotel staff Dawn and Wendy made us feel very at home and we're really friendly. The theme rooms...

The rooms are great. However, what attracts me more is the friendly staff, the excellent food and the amazing environment at the bar. There is no place like home, but this is probably the second best, and your first choice for business trips.

This is a wisconsin supper club like restaurant in an old small town hotel. Nice old fashioned bar, pleasant staff, good service and modest prices. Salad bar ok. Duck was tough and not much flavor. Lobster tails bite sized and under cooked. Steak was raw, not medium rare. Couldn't find the lobster in the lobster iinguini. Overall impression is that...

Ugh, I remember that order! That's my fault...I had to pinch hit for Chef Ericka that evening and haven't manned the line in many months alone; just being honest. So of course we quiet frankly got hammered by a massive rush plus a large banquet, but of course!! I am so sorry I didn't do as awesome of a job...

From start to finish, these folks were kind, customer service focused and reasonably priced. We arrived early and they were gracious enough to accommodate us. We stayed in the Safari room which was clean and had everything needed and more. My only complaint (if you want to call it that) is the bartender at the restaurant downstairs was not pleased...

Yes, we are so thankful to have a truly "walkable" town with so many great things to experience within a stones throw of the Hotel. I'm so sorry you were made to feel that way about bringing your cocktails up to the room...that's disappointing to hear! I am hoping it was just a misunderstanding, but either way I will ensure...

I stayed in January while doing a Circle Tour of Lake Michigan. It is a great old-timey style hotel in a great old-timey town. The room was clean and comfortable. Recommended. I especially enjoyed watching the Packers game on the 80's era Sylvania in the sitting room.

I always say that TV stays as long as it keeps kicking:)). Thank you for enjoying our space and making it your home (and for leaving the $5 for your cocktail poured...lol!). My friend and I scheduled a trip to Algoma to take part in a nearby winery event. The nearest place to stay was the Hotel Stebbins. We booked a room, and arrived late on a Saturday night. We were heartily welcomed, and found our room (The Lighthouse Room) spotless, quite comfy, and nicely appointed! The website photos do not do...

Yes, we are just a skip and hop from von Stiehl, which is a great location for our guests. Thank you for staying with us! We are proud of our remodeled rooms and have pushed to not skimp on comfort by making sure we have the best high end mattresses/beds, world class shower heads in an awesome tiled shower, and...

We have been visiting Algoma at least twice a year for the past seven years at our friend's motel, the Scenic Shore Inn. They have been telling us to try the dining room at the Hotel Stebbins for years, so we finally tried it two days ago. I could kick myself for not listening to my friends sooner. We had...

I'm usually a chain hotel person but this looked interesting. Great location right in town and within walking distance to everything. Nice clean place. Only issues are it is right on the street so at 5:30 when traffic starts it gets noisy. Nice owners and has a restaurant and bar on the main floor. Had dinner and would go back....

Thank you for the nice review. I'm so sorry you had traffic noise! I do know that is an issue depending on the day of the week...unfortunately the building is located where it is located for 140+ years. Although location works good for us sometimes with the awesome proximity to many downtown businesses, wineries, marina, foodie retail establishments, local manufacturing...
