Not in the centre, but in a safe tourist area, with beach nearby. Close to the lighthouse (Farol) with the nautical museum, several good restaurants, and a Bom Preco supermarket behind. A bus or taxi will take you to the centre of Salvador, not far. Our room included fridge, TV, armchair, glass table & 2 chairs, & wardrobe. Wi-fi in...

Great Great place to stay in Salvador. The Hotel is four stars and just in front of a very nice beach in Salvador. From the pool area, you have an amazing view of the beach, and you can watch the sunset. We did the booking for this hotel on Hotels.com and we made the reservation for the Suite. But we...

I stayed a few days during carnival this February 2016 with my family of 5. Rooms are more like a 3 star than 4. Has a nice little pool on the second floor that comes in handy with the heat. Located right at the beginning of the carnival party stretch, it's perfect if you're there to party; otherwise maybe go...

I went to Salvador, Brazil to see Carnaval Da Bahia. I chose to stayed at this hotel because it was one of the last hotel available on the parade route. The hotel is on an ideal location for the carnival activities and the beach. I prepaid R$1800($450US) nonrefundable for the 2 nights stay which included breakfast. A premium of about...

The hotel is never a 4 star. Inside it is old and the rooms are very poorly furnished and shabby. A big gap between the connecting door to the next room, therefore you can hear everything , A shower where water can easily flow into the main area of the shower room, cracked or chipped tiles. Any noise from outside...

Positive: Location is good, in the safe touristic area BARRA along the boulevard. Breakfast is good, enough daily variation. Negative: Hotel needs urgent renovation. Maintenance which has been done the last decade is very unprofessional. You can hear the neighbours very well through the walls. This is definitely not a 4-star hotel.

Family of four with interconnecting rooms (805 & 807). Great price for bed and breakfast stay. Reception & food and beverage staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic with massive windows. No rooms in the hotel face the ocean. Bathrooms are pokey and oddly designed, shower pressure is good. Each floor has a balcony at the ends of the...

Hotel is old, dirty and staff is not quite friendly. They say have a gym, but is just a small room with two old treadmill and another useless bodybuilding facility. The restaurant is ok, but the staff doesn't speak any language than Portuguese. If you're looking for B/B there are better options in Salvador.

Hotel on a nice location, but the rooms need repair and upgrade. Old furniture and a bathroom ceiling made of a plastic layer. The breakfast could have more variety of fruits and breads. It's a tropical place and the fruits are a must. Late at night the out side door is closed with a lock and feels like a jail....

This hotel is set in a great location on the beach. The staff can be hit or miss, some friendly, some just plain unfriendly. The breakfasts are really good with plenty of fresh fruit. I think the whole hotel needs a revamp, from the rooms to the staff. The potential is there for it to be a cracking hotel!
