Very average hotel, the rooms look like hospital and there is a heavy smell of cleaning chemical all the time. No shampoo and shower gel offered. Nobody speak English so it is not very friendly for foreigners, but I suppose all the hotels in the region are the same. The breakfast is ok. Tip: do not try the pizza!

I stayed at the Hotel Sagres in Belem for a couple of nights only because friends had already booked and paid for this hotel. I had checked out of another hotel in Belem (that I also reviewed on trip advisor) after a very pleasant three week stay in order to join up with these friends, on their trip through Brazil.... It is an really OLD Hotel located in a ugly region. The only positive mentioning goes to the staff, very attentful and respectful. But there is no staff able to handle such disgusting structure. Ten minutes after my arrival, I already had experienced alergy due to the disgusting smell in the room, probably coming from some sort of spray used... More

Very large rooms, very clean but very uncomfortable. A heavy smell of chemicals everywhere made my skin crawl and hard to sleep. Aircon with only one setting, lino flooring. Ok, standards in Belem aren't great but I really didn't like this place. Felt more like a hospital than a hotel. Spent only one night so not sure about service etc.

I stayed twice in this hotel in August and September 2015. The rooms have recently been refurbished and are very comfortable. Wifi service is very good. Room service was fast and the food excellent. The breakfast buffet is impressive. Nice open air swimming pool big enough to swim laps. Taxis await guests along one side of the hotel.

Hotel has a large and nice swimming pool. No sauna neither fitness room though. All lights are white what causes some kind of disconfort. Clean, but they should put shampoos in the bathroom, not just soap. Good restaurant, open until 10:40 pm. There´s a newstand and a tour shop in the lobby, what can be useful. But the surroundings are... More

I booked into this Hotel as it was the only available after I left the Holiday Inn due to no Internet. The Hotel is old and tired but hang on, it was obviously at some time a substantial place, spacious, great pool deck and bar although the views beyond the walls leave something to be desired, they could do with... I went to this hotel in a business trip, just to spend one night. It's an old hotel which was never refurbished, although it's is kept clean. The furniture is really horrible. Bad taste. Beige and brown like every old hotel. For a night stay I cannot complain. I don't think I am returning to the city, but if so... More

This is a reasonable, clean hotel for its daily rate. There are no amenities, other than a good breakfast included in the price. Furtinure is simple, and the shower is good. There is cable TV included, and free wi-fi within the rooms. The hotel is conveniently located close to the city bus station, but the neighborhood is strange at night,... More

This is a traditional hotel in Belem with two areas, one old and the other more updated - I stayed at the new part - the room was huge and comfortable, same with the bathroom. Breakfast is also very good with a lot of options, typical Brazilian. And a good swimming pool. Location is convenient near the airport and some... More
