I was flying from Suriname to Brazil which is a redeye flight, and therefore only reached the hotel at 5am. With a short latover before my next flight, I made a reservation through hotels.com right before my flight...so I could only book to check-in on the same day...at the hotel's check-in time. At first, the hotel said they could not ammend the reservation because it was a third party reservation...but after interferance by the duty manager, the hotel extended me an early check-in...and offered me brrakfast to renergize me. Though it may be a small gesture by the hotel, this vlearly shows how open they are to accomodare their guests...and this is an experience I could never overlook. I definitely recomend this establishment for a short stay as it is contemporary, and very affordable.…
They try to pretend they have high standards, but: 1-absolutely no one speaks English 2-in the restaurant, I’ve been served by literally the cleaning ladies, that did not understand my order, and let me wait 30 minutes until I realized nothing was coming; 3- 3 out the 5 lifts don’t work. Those that work are a mystery on how to get where you want in less that 10 minutes; 4- the breakfast is supposed to be included, but there is no breakfast Never seen such a band of amateur running such a big hotel. It is a shame 5- the swimming pool area is a huge mess This hotel is a disgrace
The hotel is at walking distance to the Hangar Convention Center and near some nice restaurants. It is a good hotel for business trips. The restaurant could have a better menu, including breakfast, lacking on tropical fruits and juices, and no variation of food at all. But the odd and annoying thing is shutting down automatically the air- conditioning system some time at night (late evening). It happened every night I stayed and I changed rooms and asked friends, the same. My second room had a big leaky floor in the bathroom, every time I used the shower. Again inconvenient. The high point was the personnel, always patient and trying to help, one of the clerks had a good English skill.
Perfect hotel for a few hours stay and close to the airport, They serve a good breakfast and there service is good to. The rooms are a little small but just perfect for an oversleep. Fri WiFi so it is worth it for its price.
Even being a low cost hotel, some things like old towels, bad mattress and lack of finishing in the door wall is not acceptable. On the other hand, it is near to the airport and walking distance to some very good and well rated restaurants.
