The hotel does not respond to emails sent through it’s web site or via the WhattsApp number published. Phoning then is difficult as nobody appears to answer the phone. Only 1 person speaks English and he starts work at 10am. We arrived at 10 pm and were given a voucher for a free drink that can only be used on the day you check in. I explained it was late and could we use the voucher the next day. Answer was no. We were also given a voucher for a free massage which we didn’t use as we had no info as to what it entailed. We were there for the Cirio De Nazare festival. We were not told there was going to be music in the forum till late so was incredibly noisy.
The hotel_building tself is very nice and clean. However the workers dont provide the service level that you will expect. I spent 3 night and every morning breakfast was bad..with empty trays, no more juice on the jars, waiters no where to be found, etc.. this is probably a good hotel for locals but not for foreigners looking for good service. Managment needs to be aware of this and fix this situation.
Such a charming hotel! Beautifully restored 17th century building with all the modern conveniences you'd expect from a fine hotel. The staff is very helpful, and speaks english. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and the pool was amazing. We stayed in the smallest room, the Jr. Suite, and though the room was small, it was still very comfortable for two people. Best of all, the air conditioner worked great! Breakfast was delicious, offering both continental fare, as well as many local foods, fruits, and juices. I recommend stopping by the bar in the evenings, and having a cocktail or two. They have some interesting recipes, utilizing regional fruits and liqueurs.
The center courtyards turn into the hang outs. The lounge near the lobby opens into this are which is open to the sky yet well shaded for a comfortable breakfast, lunch, dinner, or evening drink. The AC worked well in my room. The water pressure was very strong. The hot water came quickly. There is a conference room at the hotel we used for business meetings. There’s also a banquet room that others were using. There’s a small outdoor pool. I enjoyed the stay. The restaurant is quite good. There is another restaurant across the front entrance which has good tapas. Easy walk to the eco park.
