My husband and I just returned from a trip to Foz do Iguacu, and we stayed at this property. Check in went smoothly, and the staff member who checked us in was very helpful, both when we checked in, as well as when our tour company failed to show up for our tour. He started the process of helping us make other arrangements for the tour, and then his colleague, Wagner, stepped in at the shift change. Wagner's help was invaluable!! We had another issue with a pick up later that evening for an event that we booked through the hotel, and he not only called the company, he also empathized with us and took a genuine interest in getting to know us while we waited for our pick up, which finally showed up an hour after the scheduled pick up time.

The only negative that is worth mentioning is that all correspondence from the hotel before our arrival was in Portuguese, a language that neither my husband nor myself speaks. I reached out twice to the hotel to ask them to send emails in English but did not receive any acknowledgment of those emails and actually, subsequently, received another email in Portuguese, presumably to do a web check in from my guesses based on my knowledge of Spanish and some of the similarities between the languages. It turns out, none of that impacted our ability to check in in person, but what if it had? I realize the hotel is in Brazil, but consideration should be made for those of us who do not speak the language, or at least acknowledgment when proactively asked to send a translated summary of what is being requested.

Ultimately, we appreciated the staff's kindness and assistance (including giving us a place to shower and change clothes after a long flight while we waited for our room), and hope they take the above suggestion about their correspondence into consideration.

The best was breakfast for a good start of a day - great choice of food, fruits, cakes and tasty coffee. After that we had power to see the awsome waterfalls and walk around. Room very basic, no decorations, but clean and specious (we stayed in the 2nd building across small street). Aircon too noisy. In the middle of the night we were not able to lock our room, so we called the reception and it took more then hour to repair the locker, as a man had to come from town to do it - we couldnt change the room for another and there was nobody in the hotel who could repair our door. It wasnt nice, as it was the time to go asleep before next exciting day. Staff at the reception generally nice and helpful, speaking english. Public bus stop is very close. You can use normal bus to go to the falls to the brazilian side as well as the argentinian. It's easy and cheaper then the organized transport from the hotel - and you have more time to look around.

The front desk service was great, especially the girl that was there during the day (forgot her name, sorry!) -- she spoke terrific English, was very patient with our questions, and helped us book a good deal for our travels to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls.

The breakfast was fantastic, all sorts of fruits, breads, cakes, eggs.

The locations is a bit of a walk from town, but is conveniently located right next to the bus stop for the bus that takes you to the airport & the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls.

On the downside, the room was a bit cramped, and there were mosquitoes.

The hotel itself is great value - nice, spacious, modern, clean room with pool and excellent buffet breakfast. But what makes me give 5 stars is one the staff, Ivan/Junior, who was just brilliant - he spoke perfect English and went above and beyond to help us out with recommendations and to organise a sky diving trip for us which took a lot of communication with the skydiving people over multiple days due to bad weather - pretty sure he did this outside of the hours of his actual shifts as well! Very impressed, have never had such a helpful hotel receptionist before! Also right next to a bus stop that takes you direct to the Brazilian side of the falls.

Staff at the front desk was very nice and spoke good English.
We arrived before check-in time and could store our luggage without paying at the reception.
The rooms are rather simple furnished and not really "cozy". But most likely you won't stay here for much longer than a couple of nights usually. A small kitchen area is available, though nothing for big meals (rather spaghetti/sauce dish).
Rooms and common areas are very clean. Breakfast is great and offers a large variety of cakes, warm food, bread, ham, cheese, jam, fruit, juices, good coffee etc. You will definitely find something you like!

Showers are good and with good pressure and temperature.
AC is very noisy and especially if you have a room in the ground floor towards the backyard you will not only hear your AC, but all the ones from the other rooms. Sleep quality was so-so.

Airport transfer was 50BRL, was on time and helpful.

Overall a recommendable hotel, but for our taste slightly too expensive for what we got.

The hotel was basic but had good breakfasts, lots of cakes! There isn't much to do around the hotel itself, expect to take taxis to shops or restaurants. The hotel is really most useful for stopping off before or after a trip to the Brazil side of the falls.

Our room was really nice, with a spacious bathroom, which added to the comfort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only minor thing was that the room was quite cold, and our air-conditioning/heating was not functioning, so we were happy to crawl under the blanket right away after a hot shower. The breakfast buffet offers sweet and salty choices, scrambled eggs with sausages and tomato sauce, fruits and sugared conflakes. It's located in the city center, about twenty minutes from the fall. Inside the pousada, there is also a touristic service, which offers eg. daytrips to the Argentinian side of the falls. Another plus: restaurants in the neighborhood offer free transport to and from restaurants :)

Nice place to stay, the room was very good for the price and breakfast was adequate. The extra bed in our room was very hard and I was lucky I like it that way. We were in an additional house across the street but it was not a problem. Not much to see and do in Foz, but the waterfalls compensate for everything!

We booked pousada caroline the night before for a good price on booking.com. When i called the next morning on the airport on how to get there they offered a free airport pick up. Pousada caroline is actually a second building from charm de iguassu. We had a clean private room and nice bathroom and in front of our room there was a living room like space where we could sit. Only downside for the room was the hard bed. Breakfast is ok.

The location of the pousada is somewhat outside foz but that didn't bother us. Foz isn't that exciting. A big supermercado is on walking distance, the bus to the falls stops on the corner of the street and there are some good pizza places as well as nice restaurants.

The staff is really helpfull for getting to the falls and finding good and cheap places to eat. They offer a guide but also help you if you want to go by yourself. We did the last for the brazilian part (bus stops in front of the pousada and costs 2.7 R$) for argentina we went with taxi service from charm. We had a good laugh with the driver. Both sides of the fall can be easily done without a guide. Furthermore the staff was really helpfull because they knew we wanted to go to the pantanal afterwards by bus and because it was busy due to independence day they already made a reservation for us on the bus. Making sure we got the tickets and could travel.
