This was our second time staying at Pousada Quati. The rooms vary depending on the size of your family. Our first stay had 7 in one room and this stay had 5 of us in one room. There is nothing fancy about this place, it is a simple Pousada that has air conditioned rooms and provides a breakfast at a low cost per night. The Pousada is a 15 minute drive from the Brazilian entrance to Iguaçu Falls. Dinner is within walking distance at some of the local restaurants, or you can also eat at the shopping mall across the street. In the shopping mall you have a choice between the food court restaurants, or there are some nice sit down type of restaurants.
We had a really good experience here. The Pousada is right across from a Shopping centre, so super easy to get everything you need! The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. The lady at the desk went far and beyond for us. We hadnt changed our clocks from Argentina time, and didnt realise our bus was in 15 minutes until we were checking out (we thought with plenty of time). She asked us the time of our bus, to help us get there and thats when we realised. She ran out of the building across the road and flagged down a taxi for us. We made the bus with 2 minutes to spare. If it hadnt been for her help, we wouldnt have. Furthermore, a few hours later she even text us asking if we'd made the bus. We couldnt believe her kindness.
I stayed at the Pousada Quati with three other friends. Location was great. It was in the main town area right across the street to a shopping mall. The rooms were clean and above average for a hostel. Breakfast was provided and consisted of ham, cheese, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, orange juice and milk. The hosts spoke Portuguese and a little bit of Spanish. When we checked in they had an English speaker for us. Overall I recommend and would stay here again. Eu recomendo esta pousada e gostaria de ficar aqui novamente. Recomiendo este hostel y quedaria aqui de nuevo.
Located across the road from a big shopping mall. Marilene and her daughter - very friendly and hospitable host. Needed an extra room and got one at no additional cost. Nice big bathroom with good powerful shower. Good breakfast and a kitchen is available to prepare own food.
This building was probably originally warehouse, but it was rebuild into fitness center and a nice small hotel. === Advantages === * Even though it was advertised as a room with shared bathroom, we had a private one. * Big buffet breakfast with toasts, ham, cheese, fruits, muesli, cakes, juices, ... * Air conditioning * The best electric shower we used in South America * Writing desk with lockable drawers in the room * Fitness center * Next to a big shopping mall === Disadvantages === * Staff spoke no English, only little Spanish * Unreliable Wi-Fi * Rooms cleaned only on request * Seven blocks away from the center street
