I didn’t stay here, I had dinner at the restaurant of Pousada EcoPort. The territory of Pousada is beautiful and very clean, the hall and restaurant area are also very clean. The restaurant service is excellent. but there are problems with the restaurant food. I ordered 2 different octopus dishes to try the taste from the chef, since there is an advertisement for the restaurant on the road. the octopus was either terribly overcooked or terribly undercooked, Both dishes were rubbery, impossible to chew. The ingredients added to both dishes were also tasteless and they were from the level of a cheap eatery . Don’t waste your money in this restaurant until they change the chefs

This pousada is amazing..it's like home away from home. The staff is really great, breakfast is amazing with great selection. The food menu is also good and everything I tried was very tasty. The rooms are clean and with an amazing view from the beach. You can walk to Porto de Galinhas from the hotel and if you are lucky see the baby turtles eggs hatching. The sea by the hotel is a little dangerous so caution when swimming there. Other than that enjoy it and try the Pitu Caipirinha.

Good place to stay with beach view. The check in time was pulled in and we could go to the room earlier. The price of the food in the restaurant was a bit high then expected. Although the experience is very good, all and the installations and amendments are good.

We booked this Pousada already in September for 5 days over new years eve 2012. The double room was 1000 Reais per day, roughly 500 USD !! (couple with child) and we believed looking at the fotos of the resort to have found a nice high quality boutique hotel. The hotel is however a simple 2 - 3 star beach hotel with an aging infrastructure and unprofessional management. You should not pay more than 100 - 150 USD for such quality. The aircon did not work properly, TV hardly worked, Internet was slow and frequently failed. When the toilett was taped there was nobody to fix it from the evening to the next morning. We had one day during the morning horrible noise from works in the bathroom next to our room (drilling and hammering). We complained about all this but the Management was not willing to lower the price of 500 bucks per day for such poor performance. I even had to pay 10 Reais on top of this price for the safe key!! There is a very intransparent price policy, other people paid much less for the same period of stay.
The breakfast was of mediocre quality. The pool is very small, the same applies for the rooms. Our room did not even have a small table with chairs. The only positive things I can mention is that the hotel was clean and has a very good sea front position with sea view (however far away from the village center). I have been traveling in nearly all continents and expect higher prices over christmas and new years eve but never experianced such a missmatch of quality and performance and price. For this amount you can easily stay in five star hotels around the world. The worst travel experience in regard to hotel performance in 30 years of international travel. Benedikt K, Germany

This place is cute, clean and the price is fair.
Things that I think are relevant to know:
1. All rooms in this pousada have ocean view and a hammock, which is nice. I found them clean and spacious enough.
2. The beach is a bit rough for swimming in front of the pousada. But you can still walk on the beach and the pousada has a pool.
3. Breakfast is tasty but the cakes tend to be overcooked. Make sure to try the cake that looks like a swiss roll, it's very sweet but tasty and it's typical from that region. Also try the tapioca, but you have to order yourself and it can be either savory or sweet. Favorites are coconut with sweetened condensed milk, or dulce de leche or guava with cheese or ham and cheese.
4. There are mosquitoes after dark, but that's a general problem in the area.
5. It's sort of walking distance to the village, but the road is not that nice. You can walk on the beach if you prefer, but that won't be an option after dark. Taxis are cheap, safe, readily available and reliable though.
6. Staff is friendly and they welcome you with a small smoothie. Nice touch :-)

Our stay here was okay. I expected a bit more from the reviews. We liked the outdoor spaces the best - decent pool with outdoor seating, ocean view, and a cute reading room. Unfortunately, we found the rooms (quadruples) to be small and cramped, the bathroom was basic, and we had trouble with the hot water when everyone else was showering. Our tv and internet reception was pretty poor. The breakfast was just okay, and the food from the restaurant that we tried for dinner was hit and miss. We found the staff to be very nice and accommodating, but I wouldn't stay there again. Also, you NEED to put out the card to say to make up your room, otherwise they won't clean.

My husband and I were looking for a side trip during his business trip to Recife and had a great time here! Having not traveled to Brazil and with all of my research online, I wasn't sure what I was getting into.

First, we don't speak Portuguese and we speak minimal Spanish as well. We arrived in the Recife airport and were easily able to take a taxi to Porto de Galinhas (something I was never clear of online). I do recommend having an address, map and phone number though!

We arrived early and everyone was so accommodating. They had our room ready within 30 min and we were happy to sit on the lounge chairs overlooking the beach for a few min.

The experience was great. The pousada was charming! The location was far enough away from the town that we were glad there was a restaurant on site. We ate lunch or dinner there everyday, and really enjoyed the food and drinks. That being said, we walked (healthy walk) to town each day on the beach. It was the perfect distance, since we wanted a place on the beach but wanted to explore as well.

The owners clearly care about the grounds, it was well groomed and clean. The room was great, we had a comfortable bed, small fridge, a/c, small table and good bathroom. We were on the second floor and in response to the travelers complaint about Palm trees blocking their view, we somehow survived.

No one spoke English at the time we were there, but everyone was so patient with us. Thank you!

Few thoughts I learned:
- if things are "sold out" through a third party website, that's just the website. You can contact the hotel.
- I wanted one of the big resorts for safety of the unknown. (They said they were sold out) I am so happy we ended up at Pousada Ecoporto! The location and small feel was really nice. I would go back!
- there's clearly a busy season and I was worried in Dec we were walking right into it, but from my east coast US experience, this was not busy.

If want to runaway from big, crowded resorts and if you are looking for a small, but cozy and exclusive place to stay in Porto de Galinhas. Pousada Ecoporto is the right place.

The best of it is the proximity to the beach and tranquility it can provide. There are only 28 rooms (all facing the ocean with big balcony and hammock) . You can relax in the swimming pool or under the coconut tree in comfortable shares feeling the breeze of the ocean (very windy place, which comforts you from the very hot weather).

Feeling like taking a swim in the sea or walking on the beach? With only 10 steps you reach the white sand of the "Cupe Beach". Lots of waves, kind of dangerous sea, but not crowded at all. No sales people, no loud music, no kids screaming, no guys playing football.

The room is big and comfortable. Bathroom could be better.
Restaurant is ok and staff too.

I would definitively recommend and come back.

We spent a weekend here and it did not disappoint. From start to finish the stay was fantastic. Our room was ocean side with fantastic views, the restaurant served delicious food, the staff were pleasant and helpful and the caipirinhas were to die for! The beach was also beautiful. We would definitely return.

Pousada Ecoporto is a very relaxing hotel on a nice clean beach. The room was clean and comfortable with a fridge and safe. We had a ground floor room with a sea view but was a little disappointed that it was not possible to sit out on an open terrace/balcony. Also the view of the sea was blocked by the building used for massages. However, the loungers by the pool and on the beach, with a perfect climate, made it very relaxing with a paradise-like view. Walking distance to the village was quite far but a very pleasant walk along the beach, dinner at a choice of restaurants and then a taxi back. The breakfast was very good and the evening meals we had were also very good. Wifi only in lounge area. Would recommend this hotel.

"All the rooms are beach front. Your preference will be from first or second floor if you are staying in 3 people bedroom. No elevator available. And third floor for couples. Probably Units ending in 1 (01, 11, 21) are quieter since you will hear less people walking by."
