So I have to start by saying, I really don’t recognise any of the negative comments from the previous guests reviews!!!
Not sure where they stayed but it couldn’t have been the same place we stayed.
As Lifetime Platinum Elite Members, with 15 years of stays at Marriott hotels, I feel well placed to say this hotel, is without doubt, one of the best hotels we have ever had the pleasure to stay at.
From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel so very welcome by every single person we came into contact with.
Guido, Anna-Laura, Adrian, Edgard, Williams, Alexandre, Romina and the entire team (sorry I can’t mention you all) made our stay exceptional and I can’t praise them highly enough.
They are a fantastic team and I have to say, I have never witnessed such a hands on and visible management presence at any other hotel we have EVER stayed at.
This proactive approach really does result in an amazing experience for guests.
From the restaurant team to the ladies in the spa, reception team, housekeepers, porters and pool team, nothing was ever too much trouble.
We even extended our initial 3 day booking to 6 days just because of the team and how they looked after us.
Our room had amazing garden views (none have views across other properties as per a previous review!) with a nice balcony. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed comfortable.
We eat at all the restaurants across the resort during our stay and the food at each one was absolutely amazing - the chef and his team should be commended.
The quality and variety was 5 star and we never felt bored with the choices.
There seemed a lot of fun to be had around the pool with plenty of entertainment for all ages and the ice cream trolley, food truck and mobile sparkling wine trolley were amongst my favourites!!
Something for everyone and I can’t fault it one single bit.
Without doubt this place is the best 5 star all inclusive resort we have ever had the pleasure to stay at.
Guido and Anna - Laura and their entire team are to be congratulated on every aspect of this stunning resort.
You should be very proud guys.

We stayed at the Westin Porto de Galinhas from the 26th to 31 of July.
From the moment we walked in, the hotel did not disappoint.
We are members of Bonvoy and we have the Platinum Elite status. Normally, this comes with perks such as free breakfast, access to the lounge etc. But the hotel being an all inclusive, we thought what can they provide more ?
Well , the service,for one, was outstanding. Just upon our arrival, Adrian at the reception, made us feel so welcome and valued guests.
The resort was previously under another banner, so even though the resort is not new, it’s does not feel old. They have made many upgrades and remodelled the rooms, lobby and restaurants. The grounds are luscious, the pool is ample with a swim up bar. They have a “food truck” concept close to the pool, serving different food everyday, each day is a surprise. From tacos, empanadas and pizza.
The food was good, the breakfast and lunch served at the Marketplace restaurant was buffet style. It was tasty and varied.
For dinner, you can either go for the buffet or go with a degustation menu at the Tuna restaurant or Vellas.
I also want to thank Clesia (hostess at the restaurant) William ( maître D’) and Renato (waiter at the Marketplace) for their great service.
Our stay was excellent and the amazing personnel are the ones who made the difference
Thank you also to Edgar who is in charge of the restaurants, you can see his dedication through the quality of the food and the way he manages is crew. It was my husbands birthday, and without me having to ask, he had a cake made and a nice table set up for us.
And thank you Adrian for the special treatment you provide us from our arrival to our departure.
We hope to go and visit this wonderful hotel again in the future.

We had the most fantastic 8 night stay at the Westin and we will definitely be back! From the first day to the last, everything was exceptional! I am part of a flight crew on private aircraft and we travel the world extensively. We spend about 130 nights a year in hotels, all over the globe. Trust me, the Westin staff and their level of hospitality is beyond incredible!! They really set the bar. Special thanks to Guido, Ana Laura and Adrian for being so awesome! They truly care about their guests experience and they each went above and beyond to ensure that we were looked after. I had 3 spa hot stone massages during my stay booked with Francis that were so relaxing and wonderful! The spa truly is a tranquil environment and the staff was phenomenal! The Westin has a great variety of dining options that kept each of us satisfied and happy! Also, a daily food truck with a eclectic rotating menu and beverage coolers all around the property with a full selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drink options. We loved the gelato cart by the pool and the daily tapas options! The pool is nicely laid out with a swim up bar and it overlooks the most beautiful beach!! The entertainment options are super fun! Aqua aerobics, DJs spinning great tunes, bingo, HUGE screens set up for World Cup Soccer, a variety of kids activities… everyday there were a great selection of fun things to do! We really really LOVED our stay and can’t wait to come back! I can’t wait to bring my family for a summer vacation! Thank you again Guido to your and the Westin team!!! You made our stay so special!! We can’t wait to return!

For context, I am a lifetime titanium Marriott bonvoy member and have stayed in many Marriott branded resorts over the years and as a result have developed some expectations. Overall we had a great time at this hotel but I couldn’t help but notice the gaps. For this trip, we booked the reservation under my husband’s account who is a Gold Elite member and we were traveling as a family with a baby. We did not get a room upgrade as a Gold Elite but we were greeted with a fruit plate, had access to the Tuna restaurant daily (regular guests are limited to 1x per stay) and had 15% off at the spa.
Overall we got great value. The location is outstanding on a beautiful beach and a short cab ride ($20 reais) to the Porto de Galinhas town. Also the hotel staff is very warm and polite. The hotel is all-inclusive and has many activities and food options.
Here are the reasons I rated this 3-stars:
1) We were informed at check-in (without any prior notice or warning) that the Galinhas and Velas restaurants were closed and the only dinner options were either the buffet at Marketplace or a tasting menu at Tuna. We had originally planned to try the different restaurants in the resort, but instead we had to scramble to get some dining reservations in town (which of course were not included in the all inclusive cost and were logistically more challenging with a baby). The hotel simply said the restaurants were closed and didn’t do anything to make up for the situation.
2) The sauna at the Spa was under maintenance. I love saunas and I was looking forward to using it after my massage but again I just got another “sorry it’s out of service this week and I don’t know when it will be operating again”
3) This property was previously a different hotel that was recently renovated to become a Westin. The common areas look beautiful, but there were some shortcuts taken in the guest rooms. My room in particular had an old / not renovated bathroom and some furniture that looked dated.
4) The hotel room was also not equipped with an iron. We had to call to ask for one and they sent us a very old iron and said they needed it back right away bc it was the only one they had. This is the first time I stay at a Westin without an iron and ironing board in the room.

The hotel is very beautiful and comfortable, the staff is kind and friendly, the restaurant is excellent, but the rooms could improve. There were no face towels (we asked 2 times and gave up) and the bath towels are two small for the hotel standard. We were cold on a rain June night (winter in Brazil) because the bedspread is too thin and there are no duvets or blankets in the room. The hair dryer is of poor quality, very weak.

I'm glad I visited The Westin in Feb/2023, especially because the resort and its employees were really kind and patient with me and my husband. I'd like to give a shoutout to the manager, Priscilla, who made sure we understood everything about the menus, explaining all the details in English. One of the things I found really captivating about the resort is understanding the pillars which drive the business. I highly recommend the Sleep Well program for future guests who might have trouble sleeping - which was my case. All in all, it was a great 5-star hotel in a paradisiacal place in Brazil.

The structure of the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are pretty standard, but the structure is lacking. The towels were stained and the cleanliness wasn't the best, the room lacks a chair and a place to put suitcases. The food is very average, every day it's the same product, but in different presentations, I don't recommend long stays. There is no recognition of elite members, the staff are not prepared, the information is inconsistent when we ask. I don't recommend staying, there are other better options.
