What is unique about Pousada Hibiscus Beach are the "rooms" are all independent little bungalows with private balconies and a decent view of the sea. The staff were very helpful and most all spoke English. The included breakfast was typical Brazilian fare, was fresh every morning and the coffee was great. Buzios is a great get-away from the insanity that... More

My wife and I stayed here after our wedding on Ilhabela in 2010 and were delighted. Although quite basic compared to some resorts in Buzios, the facilities, service, location and especially the views were fantastic! I told them in advance that it would be our honeymoon and they kindly booked us into the highest cabin with the best views. It... More

Great place to stay in Buzios, althought we would have liked to stay near downtown because everything happens there but if you want a quiet place to stay and relax, this pousada is your choice. Great bedrooms, bathrooms, nice breakfast service. The wifi doesnt seem to work in the room but in the dining room it works just fine.

Buzios is a busy place so it's good to stay in a hotel that combines comfort and good location with privacy and quiet. The well-provided separate cottages all have balconies looking over the luxurient garden with distant sea views. A good breakfast is included, though it could be varied. It is a short walk to the nearest, attractive beach, though... More

We had the most comfortable, relaxing, private and quiet place in our stay at Pousada Hibiscus Beach. The bungalow we had, number 4 was spacious, comfortable and has his beautiful balcony with a great view. The staff is very kind yet quiet and is perfect if you are looking forward relax and make a stop in your daily routine. The... More

I enjoyed my visit to Buzios this past week and found that the descriptions were true to form. The location of the inn is perfect and near a nice beach (but I'd suggest going to other beaches because it's way too packed with tourists). The people at the front desk were friendly and spoke English which was helpful and I... More

We had searched everywhere for a beach bungalow in Buzios and found this place. Our bungalow was spacious, private, clean and comfortable. A lovely big balcony too. The location is beautiful and either a lovely long coastal walk to the main restaurant area or a short taxi ride. We would definitely return. As we then spent a further 5 nights... More

I have just returned returned from my fifth visit to Hibiscus. To be quite honest, I would not stay anywhere else in Búzios. The Pousada is situated in a quiet area not far from João Fernandes beach (a 2 minute walk). All the staff are welcoming, helpful, polite and friendly. The bungalows have recently been re-furbished and look stunning in their... More

I spent a few days here in July 2012 and hope I may do so again soon. (In fact, I lked Buzios so much that I am buying a place of my own there !) I don't really have much to add to what other reviewers have already written. Good, spacious standard of accommodation, with an agreeable degree of privacy,... More

I've stayed at Hibiscus Beach Pousada twice. March 2008 and August 2011. I love this place. The restaurant at the bottom of the hill has great food and excellent caipirinhas, the beach is just a few steps past the restaurant, quiet, awesome view of the ocean...all of the ingredients for an awesome vacation. It's not fancy, expect to see ants... More

Hi Jessica, We are so pleased that you enjoyed your second stay at Hibiscus Beach as much as the first time. You are right , the breakfasts are one of our strong points, and everyone seems to love the variety of tropical fruits, cold cuts and pastries as well as the eggs, hot buffet and fresh Brazilian coffee .
