We stayed at this pousada for four nights and cannot understand the high rating. The rooms are very simple with no TV, holes in the windows, a small and not very clean bathroom, no soap, etc. Furthermore I was missing the typical hospitality, which I was experiencing in other pousadas in Brasil. The main intention of the host was to... More

We (four friends) stayed at this pousada for four nights. We cannot really understand the high rating. The rooms are very simple! The bathroom is not really clean and soap was missing! Furthermore we were missing the typical hospitality, which we were already experiencing in other pousadas in Brasil. The breakfast was very simple and always the same! All in... More

Overall, I've enjoyed my staying at Casa Bonita but before booking, there are some things that you should know. First, it's quite far from the beach (10 minutes walk). You can get similar conditions way closer to it. However, if this is not bothering you and you want silence and shadow, the hotel might suit you well. It looks nice... More

The time we arrived we were amazed by the feeling being directly in the jungle: One really felt like being directly in the jungle and we were waked up by the birds. The owner tries her best to speak english - so we had never communication problems. The fact that the Pousada was not in the city centre was no... More

We felt really welcome from the minute we stepped in. We arrived much earlier than check in time and we could use the room straight away...it is a beatiful house, about 10 minutes walk from the pier, quiet, clean and with an excellent breakfast. The girl in charge of it took really good care of us, gave us great advise... More

We spend only couple nights in Ilha Grande and regretted that were not able to stay longer. Casa Bonita was really nice: cosy room, hot shower, good breakfast. You can also rest in the hammocks. It's a bit further from the port but it didn't bother us and we are traveling with big backpacks. 5 minutes walk is not a... More

We travelled here as couple 25-30 as we didn't fancy a dorm this time. When you come off the boat you have to walk right to the very end of a dirt track, with your back it feels like ages but it's actually only 5-10 mins. Casa Bonito is at the end of the beach with most of the restaurants... More

My girlfriend and I stayed for five nights at Casa Bonita on the extremely beautiful brazilian island Ilha Grande. This place is excellent and we had all we wanted: a big bed, relatively large room, nice bathroom and a balcony. We payed no more than 20€ pr night for two persons, including breakfast - very cheap! We didn't see the... More

My boyfriend and I have just come back from the island and we stayed in this hotel. It's not so far from the boats station. It's actually located in a perfect spot on the island since you can have the peace of a nice vacation and also it's not very far from the commercial center and restaurants. The room was... More

I had the pleasure of statying at this hotel with my boyfriend on the beginning of this month. It is a modest inn, but very well put together and well-kept. The staff is really nice and helpful. The breakfast was light and fresh and we stayed in a room with a balcony, which was so relaxing and it allowed us... More

“The room upstairs on the right has the biggest balcony. I think both of the rooms upstairs are more private than those downstairs.”

“If you have mobility issues I wouldn't stay here (in fact the island itself would likely not be an ideal location....). As there are only 4 rooms I would go for the upstairs suites as they have private balcony. We stayed in Marta which was lovely. Nice size, fan and aircon and can actually sleep 3 if required.”

“Check their website in order to choose a nice room. Rooms in the upper floor have their own terrace but all with different sizes. We'd recommend room "Marta".”
