Pousada do Sandi is a nice hotel in a good location. The front of desk staff are very helpful and friendly (in particular, they were helpful in helping us to arrange our transfer to and from Paraty to Rio and Ilha Grande). The bar and the foyer is also nicely decorated. These are the only positives we have for the...

I stayed at the Pousada do Sandi and what the hotel offers better is its location, and of course a contact with a picturesque historic building (which could have a better maintenance). The room was comfortable and cosy. The staff working in the morning is attentive and polite but the shift change for the night staff makes bad for the...

Loved everything about it. It's beautiful, well located, very comfortable, accommodating, with very friendly staff, free parking, free wifi, breakfast included and very generous (typical Brazilian breakfast). The rooms are on the large size, have AC, comfortable king size beds, large nice bathrooms, great shower, very clean and well decorated. It's in the heart of the historic center, where we...

Great staff from checkin through to check out. Amazing property with tastefully decorated interior. Nice rooms that give you a small window into the past in the cobblestoned historic centre of Paraty. The bar area is great, the billiard table is cool and the location is great.

The hotel was nice for who likes traditional, historic sites. Stayed in room 205, facing the street. Big room, good bed, ok a/c, good shower. Service was good. The problem was the noise. Despite the noise reduction double-glass windows, the noise was disturbing. There was live music and people laughing out loud in the streets until very late at night....

A nice old Pousada (Hotel) beautifully renovated with nice garden, good breakfast and the location is central to restaurants and attractions. A very pleasant stay in a lovely old town. Staff were nice but with limited English.. Rooms are furnished in a quirky fashion from old restored items.

Truly amazing hotel and very reasonable. The pictures speak for themselves but many small touches. This place does not cut any corners. The building and premises were spacious and beautiful. Amazing attached Italian restaurant, Pippo, and good proximity in Paraty. Service was first rate...they even showed a Charlie Chaplain movie during breakfast. I believe the owner has involvement in movie...

This pousada is very well located in the historical district of paraty and is a gorgeous place. But the floors creek and you can hear people walking and talking when the morning begins. So if you're thinking you'll sleep in late or turn in early at night.. Think again.. The decor is gorgeous, the breakfast buffet is a decent spread...

Stayed here for a couple of nights during a recent visit to Paraty. The hotel is done out on a film star theme, with posters of classic cinema and film actors on the walls ( we had an Italian Bicycle Thieves poster in our room). Furniture is quirky - reclaimed old furniture which adds to the charm of the place....

Right in the historical centre of town, this hotel is beautifully positioned for experiencing the old town. A quaint old colonial building it has been tastefully renovated but retaining many of the old features. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, and facilities good. While the hotel staff lacked English speaking skills they were keen to help when needed. Breakfast and dinner...

“We were in Room 202 which has a king bed and a balcony facing into the garden. Lovely. The only downside is that we were directly across from the staff laundry/supplies room and we could hear them talking at times. I might recommend the room on the end, Room 201, which is an end room and a bit farther away. Not sure if it has a king bed.”
