Very simple rooms; stains on the linen; not very clean. Paid 1270,-- BRL for two nights. Pros: free WLAN available. Centrally located.

We just came back from attending a wedding at the Pousada Do Sandi and loved our stay. The hotel is clean and very comfortable! The location is perfect and everything in Paraty is within a few minutes walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful hotel that will take you back in time. If you want...

We liked this hotel. It has a fantastic location, colourful décor, very helpful staff, good breakfast, big bedroom: these are all plus points. Be aware that the hotel is in an old building and we found it was not well insulated for noise. We changed rooms because our first one looked out onto a busy thoroughfare. The only suitable alternative...

We went to Parati as a side trip from the hustle and bustle of Rio. The location was absolutely superb. The pousada is located in the middle of the historic colonial center, well within walking distance of all of the main sites. It is surrounded by carless cobblestone streets, and right out the door is one of the main streets...

This hotel is bright, cheerful, and clean and the staff was phenomenal. There was usually someone on hand who spoke fluent English and they went above and beyond when it came to customer service. Right upon arrival, they brought us bottled water and rain ponchos before we even finished checking in. They then gave us a map and restaurant and...

We visited Paraty just after Christmas in 2007 and were lucky enough to stay at the Pousada do Sandi in this lovely, vibrant Brazilian coastal town. The pousada occupies a recently restored 18th century mansion in the heart of town right on the main pedestrianised street, really convenient for all kinds of activities. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable,...

This Pousada is very well located. I stayed there for 2 nights and it was nice. I would say that it needs some work outside and the rooms are very very simple...Maybe too simple for the price. However, the satff is excellent and very helpfull. It is very well decorated as well. I really recommand this pousada.

My husband and I spent 3 days at Pousada do Sandi. We' ve been there many times, Paraty is lovely, and Sandi is still the best place to enjoy it. It is inside an ancient house, which needs remodeling all the time, 'cause Paraty is a national heritage, one of the most beautiful colonial villages in Brazil, and they have...

Just got home from our trip to Brasil. Everything went perfect (Salvador da Bahia, Porto Seguro,...) until we came in Pousada Do Sandi. We arrived after a 3 hours during trip from Rio de Janeiro. There seemed to be a problem with our reservation. No problem, because there were still rooms available. The first five minutes we were in the...

“We were in Room 202 which has a king bed and a balcony facing into the garden. Lovely. The only downside is that we were directly across from the staff laundry/supplies room and we could hear them talking at times. I might recommend the room on the end, Room 201, which is an end room and a bit farther away. Not sure if it has a king bed.”
