Lapa is an old and happening place with a pretty exciting night life; so the locality tends to be noisy and not very modern. The hotel is very well maintained, the staff are friendly and prompt in service. I stayed for 3 weeks while working in Av. Presidente Vargas, and didn't face any problems in the hotel. There's a small...

I have settled for 10 days in this hotel. The crews were pretty polite and kind. The rooms were too clear and internet speed was much better than my expectation and very fast. The disadvantages of this hotel were : 1: locating in the "lapa" where is very noisy with lots of homeless people who make there a little unsafe...

I stayed here in august 2013 for 2 nights. The rooms are nice and clean, with a television and plenty of space. The showers are amazing!! Hot and powerful, brilliant! Breakfast was good, lots to choose from and all tasty. The reason i marked as average is the hotel is right in the middle of the Lapa district so it...

My stay here was booked through a tour, so unsure about the cost, but wouldn't recommend the place. Room was small and needed updating. There was a safe in the room, and despite asking the staff to unlock it, I was unable to actually gain access for storage of my passport. Breakfast was OK - good range of fresh fruit....

Rooms, internet, service, price, etc are ok. Their strongest points are the good breakfast and the great dinner with many options of tasty homemade food! Excellent location thinking of proximity to places to go working. Getting out when night falls you find many many options to have a good time.

Nice hotel in good central location. Bathrooms were spotless, quiet place to sleep even though it is situated on an incredibly busy, noisy road (bed and pillows were a little hard), adequate breakfast provided. The area is considered rough and dangerous, but as a single female traveller I walked around the area day and night without feeling threatened

Stayed here as part of a Toucan Tours (booked through On the Go Tours) trip. On walking into the reception it was plain to see that renovation work was being undertaken, as it didn't have a ceiling and all the light fittings were dangling down. The bar was also closed for renovation - but there wasn't any sign of workmen...

As I was on a tour this is where they had choosen for us to spend our last night. Originally it was the Hotel Regina, but this was deemed to expensive so was changed to here. I was staying extra nights so just extended my stay through the tour company and when the hotel changed I did not check what...

Unfortunately I paid in advance through travel agency and could not cancel the reservation, otherwise I would not had stayed there. Their website states that they are fully renovated. It is not, they are renovating now. It states that have a coffee shop, and they do not have it, when I asked I was giving instructions how to go to...
