This is a budget hotel and accommodation is very simple. The room was quite small for our family, but the location offsets that problem. After all you go to Rio to see Rio, not your hotel room. Breakfast was simple but nice with fresh bread, cheese, ham, fruits etc. Staff was very cordial and the facilities were always clean. The...

Hotel Venezuela is located in a very convenient area of Flamengo. We arrived late on the first night after dropping off our luggage earlier in the day and unfortunately were given the wrong type of room (double not twin) and it was a very very tiny room. We couldn't sort it out with reception because our Portuguese and their English...

the hotel is very well located in front of flamengo beach and close to the MEtro station. Copacabana is 5' bus from there. we stayed for the World Cup, this was one of the most reasonable (in price) hotel we found, as Rio is always very expensive in comparison with other cities. people at the hotel was very friendly and...

People are cordial, it's cheap and clean. Bad thing is that the single room is really small, but for a couple of days when you won't stay inside is a nice place to stay. Breakfast is really good......

I have nothing else to say about this hotel than poor room and service. I spent 4 nights at this hotel and it was terrible. Claustrophobic room, poorly maintained, noisy air conditioner and bad service, this hotel cannot be called hotel, but an bed and breakfast. Beside all negative things, the breakfast is ok. They didn't give my invoice! Terrible.

Rio de Janeiro is a very expensive city to find lodging at the right price, specially if you don't book way in advance. That being said, Hotel Venezuela was a good option in terms of location, since it's halfway between downtown and the south zone (Copacabana, Ipanema...) in a small quiet street in the neighborhood of Flamengo. Bus stops and...

Location is convenient exactly in the middle of Pão de Açucar-Corcovado-Santa Teresa-Copacabana rectangle. The zone seems to be Ok with a lot of people on the streets until late in the night. The room was EXTREMELY small. There is space just either for you or for your luggage, not for both. Therefore, I suppose all guests put their luggage over...
