The hostel is really friendly and was made to feel so welcome. Loved the hammocks on the top floor as well as the artwork that oozes out of every corner. The walk up is a bit of a workout but there is always Uber or the motorcycle taxi's which are both cheap as chips. Highly recommended

Rio was so amazing! Lisetonga is a great hostel and the staff are super kind and friendly and I had a great time staying there, they treat you like family. It's very affordable and the rooms are clean and a free breakfast daily. It's location is great, a 5 minute walk to Copacabana beach and close to shopping/groceries/metro, all within...

Stayed at this hostel during the Olympic Games and really loved our time here. The hostel staff are very helpful and willing to recommend places to visit to make your time extra special. Breakfast was lovely. Kitchen fully equipped for cooking during the day and evenings. Slightly noisy during the evenings due to location of room at the front of...

A nice little hostel in Rio's Leme neighborhood, close to Copacabana, Pão de Açúcar and about 30min to downtown by subway. The hostel is located at the entrance to a favela, BUT it is one of Rio's pacified favelas and is perfectly safe (police presence and plenty of people). In fact, the character of the neighborhood is one of the...

Hostel located in 10 min from Copacabana. Its like home. Clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helful staff. May be its not the best brekfast in Rio but okay. And you can rent motorcycle or scooter right in the hostel. And so nice kitten lives here! Wish you were here!

We had a nice stay at the hostel, very close to Copacabana beach however we felt less welcome than in other hostels. Breakfast was simple and bathrooms were clean. Short but very steep walk uphill to reach the hostel, lovely hostel pets! Good for long term stayers but less so for short term as reaching the main attractions and the...

I spent 3 nights at Lisetonga, 2 nights at nearby Babilonia Rio Hostel. I liked Lisetonga better as Babilonia was renovating a shared washroom. Lisetonga is the better set-up, as well. But in both it’s difficult to get away from smokers. Staff and young Brazilian guests tend to chain smoke. Both have superb location and very good prices for a...

A picturesque hostel that has some of the most amazing decoration I have seen. There are so many little details from little toys on top of the showers to beautiful murals in the ceiling. The hostel is located on top of a hill, It is a steep climb up the hill, but its worth the effort. The staff is young...

If you are looking for a place to meet some new people while traveling this is the place! It's a small hostel so you have a better chance to get to know each other. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Located just a few min walk from the copacabana beach. Facilities pretty basic but everything you'll need. Wifi worked...
