Great location and very good breakfast! There is a rooftop pool but water was quite cold! The rooftop view was wonderful you can see favela on one side and coast on the other. Staff friendly and can assist with tours.

The hotel is situated just a short walk from both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. The area has a very safe feel to it whatever time of day your night you may be arriving. There are numerous good eating establishment within easy walking distance. Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable with good air-conditioning. The bed was comfy (although my double was...

Stayed there for the last three nights of my visit to Rio. Check in went smoothly, got a room on the 10th floor overlooking the street. Room is big (although couch and 'dining table' are located in a strange place). Has a safe, a refridgerator and good working airconditioning. Bathroom is big enough. Although located on the streetside, it was...

We stayed here for 4 nights. We found it to be a great location for sightseeing in the morning then spending time on the beach in the afternoon. Ipanema beach is a 5 minute walk and Copacabana around 10 mins. Gen Osorio Metro station is a 10 min walk and bus stops for main attractions about 5 mins walk also....

This is a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel situated between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, and the beaches, restaurants and the fort are easily accessible from the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially useful if you have no Portuguese! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is a small roof top swimming pool and great sunsets can be seen over Ipanema...

The hotel had a good location with close access to both Copacabana Beach and Ipanema Beach. Fresh rooms with comfy beds. Good breakfast. The pool on the rooftop was a bit cold, at least in the evening. But it had a nice view over the city. The hotel is 11 floors high. Nice staff.

Loved this hotel. Stood in a room that had four single beds but they were only two of us so the extra beds were nice for clothing. The hotel was a perfect location to the beach and other dining. It is a residential neighborhood that provided a safe feel compared to what is heard about Rio. Just be smart of...

This hotel is quite close to Ipanema as well as to Copacabana Beach (5 min. walking distance). The rooms are of ok comfort and they are clean. Staff is not very friendly and not very helpful though. The breakfast was OK - some more variety than in other Brasilian hotels we have seen.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
