This is a very nice and clean hotel in a good and quiet location. 3 or 4 blocks to either beach (Ipanema or Copacabana) same distance to the Historic Fort. Very nice and walkable distance to everywhere in the beach area of Rio. I loved...More
Rio can be a dicey place. So, in choosing the hotel for my group to stay I was especially concerned about the safety of the group. I was extremely pleased with the Hotel Atlantis Copacabana. They enforce a policy of not allowing non-guests in their...More
Nice hotel with good breakfast. Roof top terrace with great view, close to the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. Shopping & eating all very close! I was there off season and had a very good price! Certainly good place to recommend

The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful
draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
