After staying on over 20 different Hotels in Rio, this proved to be a regular hotel option among others. It looks a little overpriced but it's fine for the commodities it has. The location is also close to everything and comfortable.

This hotel is situated just behind the Caesar Park hotel and very close to Ipanema beach. I had a room on the 7th floor which was situated at the back of the building I was only there one night being inbetween apartments I was renting with Airbnb. It costed 360 R$ per night with a discount (agreement with my employer), not cheap, but it is Ipanema, on a side street from the sea promenade, a few meters from the glorious Ipanema beach. On the whole, not much to seriously complain, not much to be particularly happy about. Room of decent size, clean, good bathroom. However, it was...

A completely exhausted facility. On exiting the elevator to our floor we at first thought we were entering the parking garage - the edges of the stained threadbare industrial carpeting had managed to escape its attachment to the walls. Our 'luxury' room was similar, the worst being the bathroom. It was badly mildewed around all the fixtures and the tub...

Spent 5 days in Rio on business. My room was on the 7th floor, with a bit of a view of Ipanema. The light bulbs were very fluorescent, so the room lighting was not very soft o nice. The walls in the hallway could do with a paint job, so could my bathroom. But it was clean, so no problem...

On Carnavale, prices are always double, but even with a discount this place is way over market rate. The outside impression is fantastic, with the best kind of location you could ask for, as it's right on the beach, and seconds away from the middle of the safe boutique shopping precinct. The staff are friendly and helpful, the reception is...
