This hotel is badly in need of minor renovation. The carpets are threadbare, elevator doors iffy, bathroom mirrors cloudy, showers spray in unexpected directions, ill fitting bedsheets are soon a tangled knot, and windows that don't close properly let in raucous late night street noise. The unusual angular construction of hallways and rooms can be somewhat disconcerting, and tablecloths at... More

I'm an American and I usually dont write reviews on my hotel stays despite the fact that Im a avid traveler, but this review I felt compelled write. I went with a friend the first week of March to the Carnaval in Rio, and as you might expect the hotels on ipanema beach would be expensive because of the festivities.... More

My wife and I stayed at the Everest Park Hotel at the end of November 2010. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great especially for the price. It is less than a 2 minute walk to Ipanema beach and about a 5 minute walk to some of the best restaurants in... More

The hotel is really in need of modernization, especially the bathrooms. It's right behind Caesar Park Hotel and almost the same price the weekend we stayed. Very average.

The location is very good: close to the beach and to the bars and fine restaurants in the area. The room is terrible! Needs renovation at all! Old carpet, old furniture, old bathroom, terrible window, terrible ar-conditioning.... The breakfast is outside the Hotel, in fact at the EVEREST RIO, the brother-hotel thats benn refurbished and is very, very better than... More

The rooms are older, but this hotel was actually fine. Location is important to me in Rio for safety reasons, and the hotel is in a good spot in Ipanema. It's only one block to the beach, and you're close to good shopping and restaurants. The staff here were awesome. For breakfast, I had to walk a block to their... More

If you want to stay very close to the beach, in the top neighborhood of Rio and don't want to spend a lot of money, this is the place! The decoration is very old and too simple, but the staff is outstanding, the breakfast is delicious (better than many 5 star hotels) and they even have a Nespresso machine for... More

We stayed here for 4 nights total. It is one block up from the beach and we could see the beach from our balcony if we looked right. We couldn't figure how to lock our balcony door though. Across from us was a wealthier apartment complex and up the street there was a great bar with an outdoor terrace. The... More
