I am a bit surprised with some bad review as I had a great time. If you are looking for the Hilton or Marriot you are in the wrong place.. Remember you get what you pay for... people want to pay small and get a great palace. My room was very clean. Even tho I booked a double room and...

We were agroup of two persians. The front desk guys were depondable informatively but breakfast and room quality was very basic. The most hated part of this hotel is the smelly cheap detergent which they use to clean the surfaces, teerible ,in a way that u always remember u this hotel as a first world war chemical wepons,But the only goodness is...

The only redeeming quallity is the front desk staff. Very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Room was substandard. There were 3 "beds" which consisted of a boxspring on a wood platform, an actual mattress on a wood platform and a vinyl wrapped chunk of foam on a wood platform. I was lucky enough to experience the boxspring the first night. Realized...

It also takes a lot for me to write a review as well and after staying here I was very pleased with the stay. Girst of all it is a 2 star hotel and people need to understand that. The staff were briliant and went over and beyond their duties to help us. Yes the rooms and are little dull...

I was hesitant staying in this hotel at first due to reviews. We were on a tight budget. The rooms at first are shocking (Hostel looking) but once you spend one night there you get use to it. We stayed 4 nights. The beds were clean and unstained and no bed bugs I checked everytime. The bathroom was clean and I...

We arrived here after a Pantanal visit and a long travel (expecting a descent hotel). When we entered the room (202) it was shocking. Wooden floor (which did look old and dirty). Terrible brown fridge with lots of ice in it ( I would not dare to take a drink from it) and a dirty looking bathroom with greenish look...

I stayed at this hotel for four nights in March 2006, travelling for both business and pleasure. I chose this hotel based on the recommendation from a friend who had lived in Brazil, and she said it would be basic and no frills, but clean and safe and a short walk to the Copacabana beach. I was travelling with a...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
