I like there. Good bed room and living room. And everybody able to stay safety. If you want to go to Copacavana beach, you can go there by walk just 5 minutes. So I really want to recommend there when you stay in Rio de Janeiro.

It was an alright place to stay. The guy who worked there was friendly and gave us a few tips on some places where to go. Bit of a weird atmosphere in the communal area... more like being in somebody's living room. We sat upstairs on the roof on both of the nights. It was okay for us because it...

I only stayed here one night. The hostel is a few blocks back from the beach, dorms were spacious enough and breakfast typical for a Brazilian hostel. Probably not the best place to meet people but fine for a night or two. Good option if you want to stay in Copa without paying a fortune (paid R45 for a dorm...

Rio Deal was our favorite stay in Rio. The host is very friendly and will gladly provide commentary on any football game that is on the TV. Also, he can tell you everything you need to know for your stay in Rio. Our private room was quite satisfactory, even though the sliding door let through some noise. The bed was...

I was there for 2 nights and the overall experience was very good. Basically, the cleanliness and tidiness of the rooms from one side and the great breakfast represent the main positive points to take into account. Besides, the living room is cozy to share stories with owner and other travellers.

It's a very nice and cozy place with a country style decoration, the bedrooms are clean and smells aromatic all over the place. Staff was very welcoming and helpful, location is great and safe and I think it would be the best place for solo travelers.

I was there for carnaval season. Had a great bed on bottom bunk in a reasonably clean room sharing with 5 others who were pretty considerate . The place is not bed and breakfast though. Cold buffet that doesn't chsnge with minimal selection on offer. The atmosphere is like being in someone's house and the common area has a sofa...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.

“The four man mixed is next to the lobby and can get a bot loud. Try for the street-side six man mixed or upstairs dorms if you're looking to sleep.”

“If you're sensitive to noise, you should request a room facing away from the main street (Rua Santa Clara). I stayed in that room but we shut the shutters outside the windows every night and kept the windows closed when we slept with the A/C on so it was fine for me but some people woke up time to time.”
