Nice hotel, good location and great service! The breakfast is not OTT but sufficient and tasty. The roof top is by far the winner. If you want to break away from the hustle and bustle of the city, its the best place to unwind.

Stayed for 2 nights recently with 3 other friends. Was very quiet as we visited in the off season (April) ROOM: We shared two rooms on the fourth floor overlooking both the street outside and then the back of the hotel. Both rooms were very quiet with limited outside noise. Their is a small reception room when you first open...

The Benidorm Palace Hotel was able to accommodate myself and two friends the day before we arrived. We only needed a two night stay before our flight back to Toronto during high carnival season. The location is great / only two blocks from Copacabana beach. The staff were very nice to us and those working at reception spoke English which...

Stayed in this hotel for a weekend, the rooms seemed old, and not well maintained, specially washrooms, Sometimes the flush ran continuously, the lock on the washrooms were not working. Hotel Staff was good and friendly and helped in any way they could.

Good location- safe which is important in this city! The location is a short walk away from the beach. Breakfast was outstanding, there were lots of options for everyone so we didn't get bored of the bf after a week of stay. There is a nice outdoor pool and small gym on the top floor, offering nice views of Rio.

The hotel itself is a bit dated and the showers were a bit temperamental, but otherwise a great hotel. Just 2 blocks away from Copacabana beach, and views of the beach and the Christ the Redeemer statue from the roof deck and swimming pool. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff has been really helpful throughout our stay and the service was great. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast with a huge buffet to accommodate everyone's taste. Spent 8 nights over the Olympics. Friendly staff. Great Location. Clean and comfortable. Convenient Breakfast Buffet. Well priced for Rio. Our room was not among those that had been renovated so found it a bit austere with painful lighting(dark in Bathrooms but glaring in the bedroom). Bring ear plugs as the older A/C units are loud at night

Breakfast is generous and tasty. Rooms are not small and each one is a bit different than others. Ask for the ones that face the back (quieter). The furniture is a little outdated in some rooms, but there is plenty of storage space and the beds are firm and linens and towels are clean and soft

Well located hotel. 10 minute walk to Copacabana beach. Very helpful English speaking reception staff. Good breakfast to start the day. Many restaurants in the area. Booked late so could only get an executive suite which was quite expensive but room was big though dated furniture. Bathroom had a sauna and a hot tub. This could be a very recommendable...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
