This place , although not as commercialized as the other side of mountain(JH) is an absolute great place to ski. The drive from Jackson is about an hour, but it's worth the trip. If you are a skier that's not necessarily looking for 90 degree vertical drops every time you get off the lift, then this is the mountain for...

Very family oriented experience. All of our grandchildren learned to ski with the help of Targhee's friendly and caring instructional staff. Spectacular snow--but summer hiking and biking is great as well. Love the naturalist tours in both summer and winter. We stay in property in Driggs, ID that is managed by Targhee.-- very nice.

Our family ski trip in January 2014 was simply wonderful. We flew from the East coast to Idaho falls and arranged a shuttle from the airport to the resort. the resort helped us line it up and only about an hour and a half drive there. We stayed at the valley condos that they rent because we had a total...

We stayed 3 weeks over the holidays and I pre purchased a season pass in the summer which was well worth it. We took advantage of the shuttle up to the ski area every day. Lift lines were short and resort personnel is very friendly. We enjoyed eating at the Branding Iron restaurant. Many other dining options in town as...

Uncrowded slopes means great skiing. Most runs you have to yourself. No lift lines. Stunning views of the Tetons nine miles away. Slopes/runs for every ability. Top notch grooming on some slopes, others not groomed so you can plow through some chopped up powder. Great scenic drive up the mountain. I can not put my finger on it but Targhee...

This was my first ever visit to Targhee. I have spent a lot of time at Kellys and Pebble. It was overall fun, but pretty carved up. Took me all day to find powdee. But that's not the mountains fault. It was an adventure. I like the runs, although not too many good jumps over powder which is my favorite...

While visiting my brother in Driggs, Idaho, we took the shuttle up to Grand Targhee for the afternoon. We aren't skiers, so we decided to check out the afternoon tubes after lunch at The Trap. The tubes were awesome! The shuttle was easy to catch to head back down the mountain.

I have been to Targhee many times and am never disappointed with the snow or the facilities. The lift system is second to none and the mountain and snow are great. I also like the family atmosphere on site, it is just one big family. You like to ski, you can get a lot of vertical feet and varying terrain...

Grand Targhee is one of the most beautiful places I have experienced. The view of Grand Teton from the top is spectacular and on a clear day you can see for hundreds of miles across Idaho. As an intermediate skier I can say that it is a great place to plant your planks for a visit of 3 to 4...

This review is only for their Targhee Lodge building. It's probably the oldest building. Beds were awesome....goes down hill from there. Carpets stained/dirty, visible dust along edges of door and floorboards, MAJOR dust bunnies around bed. For the $$ paid I expected better. Bathroom door stuck and had to be forced to close. Newer flat screen TV, but picture quality...

Grand Targhee Resort is a year round mountain resort situated on the western slope of the Tetons in Alta, Wyoming, accessible only through Teton Valley, Idaho. Located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, the abundance of light powder snow (more than 500 inches annually) and lack of lift lines creates a great mountain experience with plenty of elbow room. The Resort is continually recognized for its great snow, genuine western hospitality, scenic beauty, excellent value and commitment to sustainability.During the winter, Grand Targhee is your Powder Paradise in the Heart of the Tetons averaging over 500 inches of champagne powder a year and the wide open slopes will provide endless opportunities for exploration! There are two mountains for you to explore with over 2,000 acres of lift served terrain, over 2,270 vertical feet, and an additional 600 acres of terrain reserved exclusively for Snowcat Adventures. Make sure to check out their other snow activities including dinner and a sleigh ride, 15K of Nordic skiing, fat “snow” bikes, daily snowshoe tours with the Resort Naturalist and a full line-up of après music at the Trap. The mountain is about an hour drive from Jackson Hole, WY, an hour and a half from Idaho Falls, ID, and only a short 5 hour drive from Salt Lake City, UT.During the summer you’ll find a wide variety of activities to keep the whole family content.
