We stayed at this hotel for about 3 days and really liked it.

I chose this hotel because it has a great rating here on TA but I was a little let down by the quality of the hotel.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, English speaking and Markus even speaks German. The price/value ratio is very good, room is clean and spacious. Location is central between Avenua Paulista and Praca de Publica. However, there is a walk about 15min to the metro...More

Consolação lies between the old historical centre of the city and busy Paulista Avenue. It’s surrounded by the fancy Higienópolis neighbourhood, which makes it a very diverse place. The nightlife along Augusta Street offers visitors a variety of options to dine, dance and be entertained. Roosevelt Square, Consolação's main meeting point, is surrounded by fringe theaters and has become a popular skateboarding area. Right
across the street from the square is the elevated highway known as “Minhocão.” Though it is busy with car traffic all week, it shuts down every weekend and becomes a leisure spot right in the middle of the city.

I found the shuttle bus from the airport to work very well. They dropped me of right at the hotel. On my way back I chose to book a cab at the hotel front desk instead as to get their quicker. The staff was very helpful and the cab ride much faster than if I would have taken the shuttle, as it had several stops at other hotels in its way to the airport.
I would recommend taking the shuttle to the hotel and then ask the hotel staff for recommendation when returning.
As I remember the price difference was rather small, but of course shuttle is a better choice for the environment.

No, there is not any airport pick up. There is an airport to downtown bus that you can take, then a taxi or walk to the hotel. Otherwise, taxi fare. runs almost $100 from the the airport to city center, hotel. Depending on traffic. Best to take the bus and get off at republic square or paulista avenue, then a taxi. Saves a huge amount.
