The best thing about it is its location, close to bars, restaurants, businesses and (relatively) close to a metro station. Spartan accomodations, but cheap, clean and safe; If you are in sampa for something else than staying in your hotel room, can be a good...More
I stayed at Bela Cintra for a month during a short internship in Sao Paulo. Having heard so much about the city's problems beforehand it was reassuring to find the flat in such a safe and relatively pleasant area. It's within a five minutes walk...More
We were happy with it's location, walk to restaurants and the metro and it was clean but not much else positive to say I am afraid, I wouldn't be recommending it to anyone.

Consolação lies between the old historical centre of the city and busy Paulista Avenue. It’s surrounded by the fancy Higienópolis neighbourhood, which makes it a very diverse place. The nightlife along Augusta Street offers visitors a variety of options to dine, dance and be entertained. Roosevelt Square, Consolação's main meeting point, is surrounded by fringe theaters and has become a popular skateboarding area. Right
across the street from the square is the elevated highway known as “Minhocão.” Though it is busy with car traffic all week, it shuts down every weekend and becomes a leisure spot right in the middle of the city.
