We appreciate the clean & tasteful look of the entrance. The attendants were all professional & helpful. The night shift bar team was excellent & made our eating there a memorable experience - the pizza was great also! We will see you again in the future!
We stayed in this property last night and it offers all the basics of a home away from home at a decent budget. Lovely decor in the lobby and restaurant areas. Unfortunately the theme only goes as far the hallways - the rooms are plain and boring. The air conditionings the room was not the most efficient and they do have an issue with the water pressure (we were on the 11th floor). The neighbourhood seems a bit rough but the hotel is lovely. I’d not go walking around the hotel area - ‘working girls’ stand on the streets nearby chasing business in the evening, the neighbourhood is unattractive and dirty with not much worth seeing really. Great breakfast options - worth the money! Service at Sponta restaurant was friendly but very slow - I needed to chase the staff to get the menu and to order despite being in one of the only two tables occupied. I would not hesitate booking to stay here again for a short period. …
Room and coffe break excellent. Location is very good. I will stay more often in the network. I am well attended and check in online makes it much easier. Thank you for the service. Until next stay in Accor.
My experience of IBIS in the past has been plain, clean and simple. The only complaint I usually have is food. But this property was a great surprise. The restaurant offers a very complete breakfast that I really enjoyed. Buffet was very good in the evenings. The bar and pizza in the lobby was also good. My room was clean and have the basics. Internet speed was acceptable. The bed and pillows (and my tiredness) helped me to have good sleep. The best for me was the attitude of the staff. Maillenials being nice millenials. They treated me in a very natural and friendly way. That made me felt immediately at home. The location was very practical for my business there.
The reform was very helpful to the hotel, now it is more comfortable, the check in and the check out are now more agile, much because of the reform, such as most of the services that are also more agile.
The hotel was clean, but the rooms were a bit more basic than other ibis I have stayed at, though still better than the Ibis budget version. The foyer area was really nice, but they should have had a free water dispenser since you can’t drink the tap water. We arrive late at night and had no water, there was no complimentary bottles in the rooms and so we had to go to the bar and buy their over priced water ( although we did find more expensive water than theirs during the trip so perhaps not too bad for a hotel). The breakfast was ok, but the kids would have loved a pancake or waffle machine ( even the Ibis Budget we stayed at once had a pancake machine, but I guess we were in Brazil). The room keys were annoying as required quite a fiddle to get the electronics to read them and open the door. The staff are what made this hotel, all very friendly and helpful even if we couldn’t speak their language. Many of them spoke english to some degree. The restaurant food was ok, but you wouldn’t want to eat there too often as really only 2 burgers, a calzone and several pizza on offer. The kids were happy with the chocolate banana pizza and the chocolate M and M pizza though and they give yummy thin pizza strips for free to nibble on. Not much selection of wine, but at least they had some unlike some restaurants we went to. Location about R20 from central city attractions depending if taking taxi or Uber. There was a taxi stand opposite but if you don’t speak Portuguese it is much easier to take Uber, then they have your destination programmed in already and have a map to follow. Great value for money overall.…
Great service. All was fine. Gym facilities worked well. As usual, the only minor remark is about the electronic key to access the room. This key stop working and we had to go to the reception to exchange for another one. However, this situation happens on the majority of Hotels. Perhaps the time has come to improve the technology on this basic thing.
On check-in I was not ofered breakfast with is optional. Safety box did not work in my room. Breakfast area was very dirty, not a clean table in sight and it was only 9:30 am. Obvious there is a lack of qualified staff on the premises. Mattress was hard and pillows are of the lowest quality. I think for the price they charge the overall service could be much better.
This hotel is situated very close to the Anhembi Sambódromo. I visited it during Carnaval with my boyfriend and my family, the hotel was very busy in those days. Pros: room size was good. Decent view to the city, we were even able to see the Sambódromo from our window. WiFi in the room was free. Staff was friendly and attentive. Cons: cleaning could have been better. The duvet smelled bad, making me wonder if it was ever cleaned after previously guests have used it. Breakfast selection was ok, nothing extraordinary about it. Would only recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a short stay on a budget.
We stayed here for a few night because of Exhibition. It was very close to exhibition centre - big plus. Nice, clean and comfy rooms. There was also a shuttle to the conference centre. During the rush hours it can take a while to get checkin or checkout.
