I stayed 25 days in this Hotel NOV-DEC 2020. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with NIKKEY Hotel. It is definitely a recommendation and good value. It was : Safe - It was comfortable and had many good night sleeps. There is a generous Breakfast in the morning all included. Secure - I did not feel at any time as if myself or property would be compromised. Situated -The location is perfect to Liberdade central with Metro stations - Sao Joaquim or Japoa Liberdade all within (8 mins) a walkable distance My acknowledgments go to FRABRICIU (Manager),MAKOTO and JOAS. They were always approachable, courteous and attentive. There are many other staff members all very helpful.

This hotel is in one of our favorite places in Sao Paulo to spend time. Liberdade. Its a fairly large hotel with wonderful and well trained staff. Everyone from the security to the cleaning staff great you with a bom dia and a smile. The hotel itself is well, classic to be fair. The rooms are a bit dated and facilities are not what I'd expect in 4 star rated properties in a world class city like Sao Paulo. No gym and a very small seating area in the lobby. The rooms are large and basic. Very small television. Also if you are from North/South/Central America you are probably not used to smelling fish during breakfast. Breakfast is served in the sushi restaurant... If you want a full Japanese experience in Liberdade this hotel won't disappoint. If you are looking for a luxury experience, there are better places a $2 Uber ride away.

It is a nice location, the personel is kind and very helpful. I had some concerns about the door locker and the bathroon cleaness, apart from those problems all good! The breakfast is good there is the japonese and continental stile.

Hotel sits in an area that I like very much, has a nice restaurant and provides some authentic japanese environment. Everything feels old though: beds, linens, pillows, air conditioning system, lights, bathtubs.

About the restaurant: nice place, service is ok. The food is good, but normal, not extraordinary. If you are hosted at Hotel Nikkey Palace you have discount at the restaurant. The breakfast is tipically japanese: rice, missoshiro, salmon and, of course, green tea. If you are not japanese, you can eat the ocidental version with cheese, coffee, butter and bread. About the Hotel: service is ok but the room is not that good. There is not air conditioning and the wifi network dont work properly.

In case you have to do business in Liberdade or Sé, this is the place to stay. If you love Japonese food, this place is a must be! The room was a bit worn out and the TV was too old. The property certainly needs to be refurbished.

It looks like the hotel has been recently renovated - the rooms were spacious, clean and furnished with a mini-fridge. The Japanese style breakfast was great and there's also a western style breakfast option. There's a sauna in the hotel (costs R$ 40) and a small karaoke bar open till late with super friendly staff. My only complaint would be a weak wifi signal but it worked fine in the lobby.

near to Liberdad subway and very oriental in context. arrived early in Sao Paulo and the desk clerk was happy to see how early he could provide me with a room as I hadnt slept on the plane- well done. I went down to breakfast, here no one speaks English ( except the desk clerk and concierge), only Portugese and Japanese. The waitress assisted me to make a cheese snackwich as they didnt have a toaster in breakfast area and thank GOD I watched her: she dropped the sandwich on the floor and then proceeded to pick it up and bring it towards me- I gestured in shock that she should make a new sandwich- but that experience made me wonder about levels of cleanliness at this hotel. The room was a complete and utter disappointment at R 1300 a night, for the SA traveller used to getting good value from SA hotels for this price. The world cup had just ended and one would have thought that there would be better quality rooms available. The room was depressing without any view, with the shutters closed at that, the 2 single beds were old and so was the TV and small- I hadnt seen such in the last 7/ 8 years. The toilet was broken and it took many attempts to get it fixed ; the bathroom hadnt been springcleaned in ages. I was convinced that the management has never bothered to upgrade and clean on a regular basis. this place should be investigated
