I arrived with the bus in the early morning at 4 am. The women there were very helpful. They let me in and gave me a room and I could do the whole check in after a proper sleep in the "next" morning. I paid 7 dollars for a single bedroom with shared bathroom. The guesthose is really old and...

Stayed one night in 10$ single room with own shower (no hot water) and fan. Basic accomondation, clean and tidy on Myanmar standards. Lady at desk plus other staff super nice and very helpfull. Would recommend for a budget traveller.

I'm not sure it is really worth to stop in Bago. Unfortunately, there is little to nothing left of its history, and the make-up with rebuilt copies is rather poor, even if immense in size... some of the biggest stupas and Buddhas. If size matters to you, then Bago is worth the stop . And if you stop, then San...

I don't know where all the good reviews come from. The staff is Nice but my room was dark, dirty and really creepy. I was very disappointed considering the good reviews on TripAdvisor. It is not worth more than 10 dollars.

My partner and I arrived in Bago early in the morning from Yangon. We checked in to San Francisco then hired bicycles and set about seeing the sights of Bago. The lady in charge was very friendly and gave us lots of information about her city. Bicycle hire was 2000K per person for the day. Bago is not a city...

We stayed at the guesthouse just for one night. We had a room with AC on the backside of the house. Everything is very basic but clean! The two sisters who are running the house are so lovely. They invited us to join a birthday party in the evening. We had such a good time and great dinner together. Thank...

There is no big chance to find an hostel in Bago, and the fact that all the tourist catcher at the bus station says "San Francisco" was turning me away from it. Wrong. I went to ask for prices and to see the rooms, and the hospitality was superlative. The receptionist speaks good English, and after the room (good, clean)...

The women who run this place are so helpful. For 2 days I cycled around the sites with the aid of a supplied map. The town itself was interesting with lots of places to eat & good street food at night. The motel itself is like living at grandma's; old rooms, hot but it works. Reminded me of Caribbean hotels....

Room looks like one in a brothel, and you have free gifts: mosquitoes. The landlady indeed gave me an anti-insect bottle, but after reading the instructions, I did not want to spray before my sleep. Due to mosquitoes buzzing, I stayed awake haft of the night till felt to sleep due to tiredness. And the host charged me Ks15,000 (~$15),...

This easy going place is wonderful! The rooms are basic, but for a private room with private bathroom and fan it was 10 dollars, so a really good price quality motel! The staff is super friendly! Thuzar took me on a motorbike adventure twice (two days) for 15$ total, I saw all the lovely sites, pagoda's, Buddha's,... and I spend...

“Hotel is just off the main road - as are all hotels in bago - so can be a bit noisy but come 9pm traffic dies and you can get a good night's sleep. If sensitive to noise ask for one of the back rooms.”
