We were a group of couples and a single on wine tours in the area and stayed 2 nights at Mapuyampay a small boutique hotel set in the countryside near Santa Rosa. The property is beautiful & large with pool, cabins, and extensive gardens. You can borrow a bike and go for a ride, swing in a hammock, swim in...

My husband and I stayed 3 nights as part of our 4 week road trip down to Patagonia. I can safely say that our stay here was one of the absolute highlights of the trip. Ruth and Vicente were very welcoming, the food and wine was delicious, the location perfect for visiting the neighbouring vineyards and the rooms luxurious. We...

Ruth and Vincente are great hosts who have created a beautiful relaxing place to stay with superb food and great local wines. This small hotel is well placed to visit the nearby Santa Rosa valley or head to the Andes and get close to the Argentina border. The rooms are arranged within the peaceful gardens and there are walks into...

We came here with a group of friends for a weekend and had an amazing time. Ruth and Vicente made us feel at home and we enjoyed the amazing cooking class. If you are looking for nice weekend getaway outside of Santiago this is your destination!

Staying with Ruth and Vincente for two nights was definitely the highlight of our 10 day sojourn across middle Chile. The beauty of their home and gardens were perfectly paired by top notch hospitality and utterly delicious haute cuisine. In fact, since my partner and I are both vegetarian Ruth went out of her way to prepare some of the...

This is the most wonderful place to go to. A haven of tranquility with beautiful gardens to wander around. Vicente and Ruth are the perfect hosts, charming and informative. The cooking classes were fabulous and creative. And the wine pairing at dinners gives that little extra touch. The accommodation is beautifully rustic. For everything you get - the classes, breakfasts,...

Four wonderful nights in the country at Mapuyampay were highlighted by creative and wonderful food accompanied by great wine. Ruth and Vicente are gracious hosts. A cooking class from Ruth is a must do. The rooms are spacious and very unique with posted cathedral ceilings. Easy access to the Andes, Santa Cruz and many wineries. We will definitely be going...

To get to Mapuyampay from London took 2 flights and a 2.5 hour drive - with our long Madrid layover, a total of 34 hours of travel. But all that fell away within an hour of arriving at the lodge and being greeted by Ruth and Vincente. Beautiful gardens, created with love from what used to be a cornfield. Comfortable...

At approximately $800 for three nights' lodging, a cooking class, three dinners (with wine pairings), three breakfasts and some mini-bar items, my wife and I can say this was one of the most incredible places we have ever stayed. This was not luxury per se but rather a well-run boutique hotel, offering a unique experience and real value for money....
