For the perfect place to stay in Chiloe, just head to Puerto Nativo! A beautiful house in the most stunning location and wonderful hosts in Carmen and Marco. This couple are passionate about everything they do from bee keeping, cooking, creating products from locally sourced natural ingredients to sharing their love of all things Chiloe! I enjoyed going 'out and...

Carmen and Marco are excellent hosts and do whatever they can to make one's stay perfect. The rooms are comfortable and the food excellent. The honey from their own bees is delicious, especially spread on their freshly baked bread, and Marco's home smoked salmon is the best we have eaten. Carmen's Pisco Sours in the hot tub overlooking the bay,...

Everything was perfect, the lodge is comfortable, the rooms are cosy, the food was fine and Carmen and marco are so friendly. We stayed three days with Carmen and Marco, They greeted us like family and made us feel very welcome. The lodge, which they built themselves, is rustic yet perfectly comfortable, with a great view of the bay. Our room and bathroom were clean and the bed was excellent. Carmen prides herself on her meals, and we enjoyed all of her...

My husband and I visited Chiloe as part of a three-month trip through South America. Meeting Carmen Escobar, the owner of Puerto Nativo, on the ferry to Quellon was the best thing that could have happened to us on the island. She invited us to come and stay at Puerto Nativo and together with Marco, her husband, she made it...

Carmen and Marco have created a wonderful experience at their Puerto Nativo lodge. I felt both welcomed and very comfortable in my stay there. The weather was perfect and I fished for two days in nearby rivers and lakes and, through Marco's good guiding, was able to land the largest fish of a two month fishing trip in Patagonia. Carmen's...

Our two days at Puerto Nativa were perfect. Carmen and Marco are wonderful and attentive hosts who lookedafter our every need. The food was particularly memorable: fresh seafood (caught that morning), homemade breads and cakes, eggs laid that day, homemade jams, fresh honey, fresh pasta and homegrown fruits and vegetables --finished off with delicious homemade liqueur! Activities available include scenic...

Puerto Nativo is an ideal gettaway. It is remote and peaceful and beautiful, it could be very romantic if you are there with the right person! The rooms are cosy and quiet, the service is personable and relaxed yet professional and the no nonsense home made food is delicious. It's tasty and uncomplicated, fitting right in with the whole experience...

When we arrived at the airport in Puerto Montt we wondered if we should have made more specific plans about where we would meet - or - what we looked like. No worries, Marco came over to greet us (the confused looking ones) and from that moment on - we were old friends. It didn;t matter that I spoke 25...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tucked away on a hidden bay on what is already a fairly untrodden part of Chile, Puerto Nativo is definitely a destination with a difference. Carmen and Marco Ancaras chose this spot on the island of Chiloe in northern Patagonia especially to set up their dream home, and it isn’t difficult to see why. Overlooking one of the Estero Paildad - or ‘interior sea’ - bays, with a beach at the bottom of the garden and rolling green hills behind, they have built a beautiful, open-plan wooden house, very simply but tastefully furnished, that offers visitors a real home-from-home experience. You will arrive as guests, and almost certainly leave as friends; and probably not just with Marco and Carmen. ... more   less
