We had to book a place last minute because our first hostel was full when we wanted to extend our stay a night. Internet was out the whole time we were there and while it might not have been the hostel's fault, they made no effort to fix the problem or apologize for it. The location could not be better...

Overcharged us by quite a lot, but the woman did not speak any English so couldn't argue. The room we stayed in was basically a shed at the back of the property, no heating at all and located next door to a very loud bar. WiFi did not work the majority of the time, and when it did only in...

The host of Hostal Viento Norte is a very kind and helpful woman that has lots of recommendations and advice for the huge amount of tours available in San Pedro. I took her advice and had a great time. The hostel is small but cozy, I had a great stay.

The good: -Friendly host, though she does not speak English -It's mainly a laundry service, which is handy for travellers (but not handy enough, see below) -Location is excellent, but SPDA is a small town, so most places are in good spots. The bad: -Bed sheets were dirty. Like 'crusty' dirty. Gross. -Shower was either freezing cold of scalding hot....

Hostal Viento Norte is a disgrace, we booked to stay here for one night via Booking.Com and upon arrival (at midday) the proprietor told us that she has given away our room as these guests wanted to stay longer and she was now fully booked so we would have to look elsewhere. We have filed a complaint with Booking.Com. This...

Terrible hostel. Besides the location, there is literally nothing good to offer. The rooms are so small that you can't even place your bags in the floor. I had booked 5 nights, but couldn't stay even 1 night. Avoid at all costs!!!!! In addition, the price is way over other hostels.

We spent 5 nights here. It was okay. There are 3 rooms here, and we had the chance to sleep in 2 of those, because of availabilty arrangements. Travellers can use the kitchen to cook their own food. There's a fridge to keep your beverages cold. The hostel is off San Pedro's main street, Caracoles (10 meters away), so you...

The staff at Viento Norte were so friendly and made for a lovely 5 days in San Pedro. We had a double room, which was small, but we didn't find a problem as it was warm and cosy with a good TV and the kitchen area near by. The kitchen area was clean and had plenty of space to cook...

A small hostel for around 10-12 people in a great location. 100 metres from both the central plaza and corocoles street it really couldn't be better soured. Ignore the map on web sites which places this in the middle of scrub land outside the town. It dedicatedly isn't. The hostel was kept immaculately clean throughout our 4 day stay. Bins...
